  • I'm really considering joining but as I'm about to move house figure I'll wait a couple of weeks. I was just wondering how long it takes to join up and get started so to speak.

I had to sign a form which was then sent off with my bank details. My first kit arrived about a week later.
I would say apply as soon as you can so that you can build up your sales before xmas!
Whereabouts are you? having a good manager/team really helps!
  • As of 20th September – New Starter Kits will be going out without Summer Catalogues. They will however include Christmas catalogues.
  • It takes roughly 7 working days from signing your form to getting your kit. Normally I would say wait until you have moved especially if your moving to a new area but if you sign up in September you then have the option of buying a christmas starter kit along with your pamper kit for £80 which has lots of the christmas stock in it so would really help with your sales.
  • Thanks for all the info guys. Really helpful. Shame the Christmas kit is £80, that's a lot of money. I guess the main reason I'm considering this is because I've done the maths on the mortgage etc and its going to be tight, i.e. probably no fun money:( Trouble is where I'm moving to I don't know anyone and although its fairly close to home its still 30 miles each way, think its something that needs serious consideration through.

From the info I got it seemed like you were expected to do a party every week after the first 4 is that right? I also got the impression you needed to have the parties booked and give details before you joined and got your kit?

I'm in South Oxfordshire but moving to West Berkshire...hopefully in 3 weeks now:j
Debt free and busy treating myself:)

No more toiletries/make up until I've used what I've got stashed since Jan 2011, graduated October 2012. Restocked Dec 13..damn those sales

Do you know anyone where your moving to? You could have one party at home and then have one when you move, invite all the neighbours around so not only can they get to do some shopping you can also introduce yourself. You could also contact the local school about doing fundraisers or christmas fairs.

No - you are not expected to do a party every week, all that body shop ask is that you take £150 worth of sales every three months on a rolling basis (sept, oct, nov being one three month period oct, nov, dec being the other). It is really very flexible and fits around your normal life.

Good luck with the move x
  • Thanks Trish that's a great help. Will have a look through everything over the weekend if I've chance...anything to avoid packing! Yep we're moving to Newbury, nearly there now just waiting for the council to get their finger out and send back the searches. Good idea about the neighbours, we were wondering how the hell to introduce ourselves!

I was in Bicester which is where my Body Shop manager is, then I moved close to wallingford so that may be quite near you?
You don't have to buy the £40 Xmas kit, just the £40 starter kit, then you have the option of buying the Xmas kit as well.
To be honest I would as you get loads of lovely stuff, and if it doesn't work out for you just sell it on or give it all away at Xmas, presents sorted!
I joined in August and am having to buy testers of the Xmas stuff anyway. Would have loved to get the Xmas kit.
  • Hi Chemical, thanks for that I thought it was £80 for the Christmas set on top not £80 all together! I'm very near you then, just down the road really in Wittenham. Such a small world:)
