Did a gift fair in my village tonight, was a fundraiser for the school and cost me nothing except 10% of profits, and i made a handsome £80! was expecting nothing and was surprised! so on the subject of these things i would agree with them being hit and miss and i would never pay over £10 to do one, because you just dont know if its going to work! i was just stood there with my products laid out, didnt have a chair so couldnt do facials or anything so didnt get much chance to push bookings, therefore i didnt get any bookins or recruit interest, but the sales pushed me up to my aim of 2% bonus for this month so I'm happy!0

HI all. Well done on the Gift Fair Becci I'm glad someone has finally done one that made a profit and now at least you are "out there" so people may remember you do bodyshop and consider you for other fundraisers etc.
I gave out samples with my business cards at the ones I did.
I am doing a party on Monday, the host is expecting 6 guests and has asked for a Christmas themed party as she couldn't choose a theme.
I am not sure what format to follow.
I have something from all the xmas ranges, several gift sets, amphora and most of the seasonl oils so I have things to pass around but I wanted it to be a treat for the host so how do I demo Christmas products on her? She wasn't keen on a make-up demo and I only have the Plum Shimmer Lotion, Cranberry shimmer creme and puff thing and Warm Amber Body Butter from the xmas stuff that I could actually demonstrate.
Also, which of the Christmas games have people found popular? Was considering the santa-on-the-head game.
Any ideas welcome.June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

Alexa, you send the party orders to the host anyway unless you do an order for stock in which case you add this stock order to a party order that is close to your home, and then drop the orders off to the host. You can do parties anywhere you wish to travel - my mum lives 2 hours away yet i do parties at hers every few months.
ah okay thanks for that, i think i shall do one at her house then!
I presume i will be shown how to do orders and training once ive got my 6 parties organised
could you all give me any tips on things to encourage people to want to host a party, like a list of bullet points.
Thanks guys, this forum is fab!

ragz, how about you do a hand massage on your host, do both hands and arms up to her elbows. When you've taken the product that you need (warm amber body butter or plum shimmer lotion, her choice?) pass the bottle/tub round the guests so they can take some and try it for themselves? You can talk about the plum being exclusive to TBSAH and them both (all if you inc cranberry) being christmas specials and you don't want them to wait and end up missing out etc.0

I am pretty pleased with myself. You're doing well yourself though Wendy, You're the highest earner in my team and you got yourself your 2% bonus.

Can someone explain the bonus to me......in a calendar month if you hit a certain amount of sales do you get a bonus on that amount?!?!
I am right in thinking that because I have hit £3000 sales in November I get a bonus??? Wasn't sure if it was 2% or 5%....and is it on the £3000 amount??!?0 -
HI, Is anyone going in-store on 11/12/08? if so what do you plan to do on the day? would you just be handling out the free prize draw slips? and i assume this will be good for getting January parties booked in?0
