Leopard Lady the hostess bingo is a grid of squares. Each square cost £2 and all you need is the persons name and phone number. Basically, if all squares get filled you donate 10% of money to COTE and the rest (£45 i think) is spent on products. To decide the winner you cut the squares up like a raffle.

I like doing it because unlike a raffle, the £45 counts towards your PV. I try and get all my hosts to do it but not many have. Not sure why though cos it goes towards their free shopping lol! Hope that helps somehow, im not that good at explanations!!

Finally managed to get through to tomorrow nights host! Shes expecting a min of 8-10 people and has sent out 18 invitations. I hope its a good party.
  • Woo-hoo! Oh my god look at the time! Shattered but had to come on here and tell you about my first party!! (Sad, i know!)

There were 6 guests plus my mum the host and party value was £413!!

Really pleased, was getting stressed as ordering was new and my mum couldn't decide what to buy, I think she was a bit overwhelmed by the amount she had to spend!!

Hope everyone elses parties are going well, god i've got to get up for 'other' work in five hours :( AND got a party tomorrow night, hope it goes as well! xx

  • Well done Synonymous, that is fantastic!!! It's great when you have a great party as it definatley spures you on to continue.

    xx
  • You'll have to tell me how you do it synonymous, I had my 2nd party last night and pv was only £108! Only 3 ppl other than the host turned up though, the host was my best friend and she felt really bad because when she was going to do a party for me originally in Sept she had loads of ppl confirmed to come. I don't mind though because the party actually went really well, I'd done lots of practising and was alot more confident than at my first and everyone had fun. I have a fundraiser at a school tonight so I'm going to add anything I sell onto my last nights party order, as long as this is allowed does anyone know?? Then I'll put it through tonight and hopefully my friend will get some free shopping after all.
Also I've booked a party in my local care home for Dec, I recommend ppl try this if they haven't already. I went to see the manager, and took my 10 month old daughter which went down well because all the staff fell in love with her and asked if I'd bring her to the party haha. They're going to invite any staff that aren't working on the day, and have volunteered one to have a makeover, and put a poster up in reception to let relatives of residents know too so they can come along. I was a bit nervous about approaching them incase they'd think I was trying to take advantage of the old ppl or something but they were great and are really looking forward to it.

  • I agree with showing everything.......
What I do is talk briefly about the bodyshop, then literally work thru the catalogue passing round samples of EVERYTHING!!!!!! It doesn't take much time at all but people see and feel everything for themselves! As an example, I put a tiny bit of vit c skin boost on everyones hands and explain that as its a gel people expect it to be greasy, but it is like silk and imagine what its like on your face before bed etc etc. AND I ALWAYS SELL AT LEAST 2 OF THEM at every party. If I didnt do that most people would probably overlook products like that?!?! I don't do a makeover or a facial.........I have done 3 proper parties so far and they have all had sales of over £440!!!!!!!!! (I've also done 2 party in bags which have had £150 each!)
I just make it really interactive and am really positive about ALL of the products - not just the gifts!

  • Meant to also put in my post thismorn, has anyone had any luck from putting notices up in local shops??
I did this in quite a few newsagents and shops in my surrounding area yesterday, just wondered if anyone has had much success in getting bookings this way?
    Thanks,
