Yeah i tend to do it themed to start - start with a demo and the products related to the theme, then do the rest of the products, it seems to go ok for me. I just talk about the other themes to get interest for party bookings and tell them what the other demos are whilst im handing round/showing them the rest of the products related to that theme. Sounds complicated but it goes well for me!0

Just got back from my first party, was a bit disapointed as not many people turned up, there was a school xmas thingy on at the same time
It was my mums party but luckily my sister bought alot of stuff and i had a few orders from work so added them on and ended up with £366 party, not too bad for my first order!

Well done xmmonflowerx that is great, better than my first 4 parties!
Well last night i had my most successful party yet!
£370 only three guests + host, but over £100 in pre-orders and then large orders from the guests. I also got a recruit!!! which is fabI am all very excited, SS1 done only £150 away from SS2 and still just about a month left
Party tomorrow night, lets hope it goes as well:)Leopardlady

Well done xmoonflowerx and Leopardlady both great results!!
My first party I only did £60 with 8 guests it was awful! At least you have had a good experience to keep you motivated. I nearly gave up after the first one but subsequent good results have kept me going.
I'm spending most of the day visiting my hostesses who are having parties over the next couple of weeks to do their host coaching it really is invaluable to do this if you're not already doing this.

god i too had an awful first party! Only 2 guests got £90 i think in sales and i really thought maybe i had made a mistake. Thankfully though, things have picked up! Im partying tomorrow night which im happy about because its been a couple of weeks and ive really missed doing it which sounds silly i know lol.
Plus i start my (final!!) nursing placement on Monday so im hoping to get a few orders in before xmas from the ward so we'll see. im supposed to be doing my nursing assignment (also my last one!) and i have a serious case of writers block. For the first time in 3 years i really dont know how to start my argument!!

Host coaching is most definitely something you should be doing to get the best possible results from your party. Your manager should have been through this with you but I'm happy to go through it with you here.
So I have just been to see 2 ladies who have parties next week. I'd given them their host packs a month or so ago so have had time to browse the catalogue and sent out their invites.
I just pop round for 30mins-60mins to say really looking forward to their party, have they had much luck with guests (if not tallk them through FRANC Friends Relatives Acquaintences Neighbours Colleagues to boost their guest list), talk about offers, what they'd like to achieve from the party, talk thru any questions they may have, the general format of the evening etc, encouraging pre-orders etc..
If for some resaon you can't see them you can do something similar over the phone. Basically it's a way of ensuring that both you and the hostess get the best possible results from the party.
If still in doubt, you should have received a DVD with your starter kit which shows host coaching in progress.
I didn't do this for my first few parties but since doing it have definitely noticed an increase in sales from it.
Any more queries please ask.

Also to add to you bodyshopbabe, there is on the bs website on the main menu 4 links. Watch these they are how to do the perfect party. The first one is host coaching. Ive had better results since i started spending time with my hosts.

Monica how have you been getting on with the bingo scorecard? Haven't tried it out yet is it worth doing?

ive had 2 hostesses who have done it and they have both done well at it. Most dont bother to do it but it costs nothing to pop one in and if your host chooses to do it not only do you get £45 added to your sales but you dontate some money to COTE too.0
