I have been trying to clean the grout on my tiles but even with a toothbrush still stained... any tips?

Did you use bleach with the toothbrush? I scrub it in with toothbrush and then leave it for a bit and shower it off. But maybe another has better idea.

Short skirt and corner would be an option but LMAO I live in the middle of no-where and not sure if I would be competitive - 40 and spare blubber might not meet the current criteria!!!

If they have overpaid (after paying me nothing this month) they can whistle for it.....it was their mistake. Have got my P45 but no payslip for this month yet so that will tell me what to do next. DH just said 'well sure dont you have an O/D facility' yeah I do that I transfered to 0% card and now I am right back where I started except with CC and O/D.

Anyone any ideas how to clean stair carpet of grubby grubby boot marks? Should I let it dry in and then try and clean it off?

SSL, RMC and Sallyshattered - hugs

Got in from work at 3 - DS1 kicked the glass door from the back hall to the kitchen as we came in and the glass has shattered everywhere. Had to take the door off and spend half an hour picking glass shards out of everything. One of those annoying ones where every day you say don't kick the door to open it and they do it anyway. This is the second glass door he has broken in six months so quite cross with him. Not worth replacing as the door will be going anyway in the next six months. I have sliced my finger as well, boo hoo. Sense of perspective though - Mudbath yours sounds horrible, hope it feels better today.

Right, no work tomorrow, Thomas Land Saturday for DS2 birthday (cheers Tesco) and then visitors Sunday. I must clean this tip all over as two of them haven't been to this house before and will want to have a look round, and my lively PIL will want to see what we have done since they last came - quite a lot but at the expense of cleaning/gardening! They are never ever critical and the problem is in my head but the place has to be perfect - the joys of being second wife I guess.

    Urgent to do
Shift everything (laundry basket and 20 boxes of very heavy floor tiles) out from under the kitchen stairs and find the rest of the glass before my babies (cats) hurt themselves
Clean out the fish - I can't read the 'we still aint dead' notice which is a bad sign
Help DH to do his mileage and expenses for tomorrow - three months worth!

I will not start WineOclock early and get nothing done.

Can you hear my resolve weakening?

RMC - boot marks - let them dry and hoover off. If you try and do it when they are wet then it gets worse! Also surely you should get a tax refund this month plus any accrued holiday pay?

Hollyh, owch!!! You must have been in a worse state than him! Glad he is fine today! Up to mischeif so he must be fine eh?

Heather, barkeepers friend or that doctor power is good as it kinda sands a layer off, but is messy. Cheaper (and instant) and not so messy option is toothpaste on an old toothbrush. Works the same (toothpaste contains the same stuff as barkeeps friend) and you probably have a tube of it lying around. Plain cheap white stuff though, not colagte!

Done under the wardrobe and the larger chest of drawers, starting to weary though... and having QVC on the telly in their room is not good! LOL!

*sigh* grab a drink and back to it.
