pigpen where do you buy it from, the oven here is disgusting (in fact most of the house is I dont think the previous owners were very keen on housework:eek: ) I have tried stardrops and vinegar but its not shifted all the filth:mad: so game to dry other methods to get it clean OH has suggested getting someone in but i object topaying someone to clean the oven when i am sure i could manage myself

I got mine from lakeland.. it was about £8 I think.. but you can get it from kleeneze and I think betterware do it too.

I'd pay someone else to do it.. but can't afford to!

after you've done it if you get one of those teflon oven tray liner things just lay it in the bottom.. makes it SO much easier to keep it clean!

pigpen, I can't get my black hob clean without scratching it. Can you recommend anything? I have tried stardrops, vinegar, last night I soaked it with washing soda. It is only a year old so I don't want to scratch it. I have astonish paste too but haven't dared to try it on there. Being HE trained I should know but I don't think I was there that day!!:rotfl:

I should say it is meant to be black and I do love it.:smileyhea

    mine is black too...

flash gel with bleach.. ;).. fantastic stuff!!.. failing that.. drizzle washing up liquid or stardrops or bleach drown in boiling hot water.. tipped from the kettle in here and go have a cuppa and let it soak.. mop it off and it will all lift off beautifully!!

if it is a flat hob.. soak a cloth in hot water and lay it on over the drizzled washing up liquid/stardrops

    Such is my idleness!! lol
