ok i can report back on the custard cookies, toooooo darn good, we've eaten half (12) already :rolleyes: :rolleyes: OH already wants them made again
i think i might try sandwiching together with lemon curd and see how they taste..... :drool:

Oh dear I was dreading this type of post as it means I have to go out and buy some custard powder :eek: as I don't have any in as we usually have value custard which we just love

That sounds like something my DH would say, when I first made Twinks hob nobs he came home for lunch and took back over half of them to show off to his work mates!!

I know I said earlier that It was an NSD today well its not,, I had to go to Mt T's for prescription and all I spent was 28p for soda crystals.only as there were no puff pastry and customer services said they were not doing them anymore .... but then we went to MrA's and I got whoopsied bread rolls and cat litter and sachets for the old yin and some cat milk just to see if I could tempt him to eat or drink
so will update siggie later

Mmmmm. Just made the lemon curd ice cream from the "show Jamie how to cook on a budget" thread and it is gorgeous. I see a trip to Mr T's to clear the shelves of 20p lemon curd tomorrow!! :rotfl: Also made a loaf of bread for OH's sandwiches tomorrow and got a savoury rice simmering away for my lunch, what a busy little bee I've been since I got home from workYou can do anything, make anything, dream anything. Just got back from asda and checked my reciept and noticed that they've overcharged me 88p for a pack of potatoes. Really cross now:mad: . The shelf label said £1 that's why I chose them. V annoyed now!!

There is an Asda misprice thread somewhere on the boards. I think they give you a £2 voucher per item that they've overcharged you for so in actual fact they've done you a favour (unless Asda is really out of your way). :T You can treat yourself to some chocolate.Nevermind the dog, beware of the kids!0
