I got some of the Hovis bread mixes at Asda yesterday, they were rolled back to 27p

Me too, I got Granary. The white was cheap on the SEL but there wasn't any. I think wholemeal was full price so much dearer.

My Mum spotted that the large boxes of branflakes were only £1 rolled back from one pound forty something which is very cheap.

  • ooh I could do with a good wedding :-) . Hope you have a lovely day.

Was just wondering if there's a thread/list anywhere of things to stockpile?

I have always had a lot of food in but have been trying to use stuff up as lots of dodgy date stuff. This month's GC has gone well since the ex moved out have hardly spent anything for me and DS. I also have a £5 voucher to use at Mr T. It now seems suddenly that my business will have to close by xmas, so the plan is to leave the GC the same and use any excess to stockpile to help us though the leaner times to come.
Eat food, not edible food-like items. Mostly plants.
  • To IOIWE, just wanted to wish you all the very best for the big day on Friday (hope the dratted weather improves!). Be sure to enjoy every second of your special day and lots of luck for the future in your married life.

    NSD for me today :j:j

But my current balances are :
    Grocery - 90.78/60 :o
Travel - 40.95/30 (but we've been house hunting so unexpected train/bus fares! )
Extras - 123.82 - Mainly clothing or stuff for winter proofing the house (spent before I started house hunting) :o

Travel costs tomorrow, and I'm supposed to be getting the end of DD's uniform and school stuff which is the extras budget, but I shouldn't in theory have to buy any groceries until Tuesday when DD gets back from being at Ex's for a long weekend ;):o
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!
  • So far, I'm on target, but nothing left for emergencies ... you know, chocolate, wine, cheese ....
If you see me on here - shout at me to get off and go and get something useful done!! :D
