Play.com DVD-R sent !!!

  • Theres no need to worry about a purple PS2 disk - many of the smaller budget titles come on these because they don't need full DVD disks to fit the game.

Any PS2 machine bought in the UK will refuse to play copied disks (DVD or games) assuming it hasn't been 'chipped'. Chipping a games console in the UK is actually illegal and voids your warranty as well.

I have eventually received the postage costs back today after several emails.
I will not be using this company again, for me the bad outweighs the good. It has taken virtually a month to get a full refund which is completely unacceptable. All companies make mistakes, it is the way they deal with the mistake that they should be judged on.

Did you ever think that maybe it took so long because they were verifying your story... Whos to say you didnt copy the disk and return it for a refund. I was sent the wrong disk by play as well as losing a PS2 game and memory card and all was resolved within 10 days.

Did they apologise though? They should have done that at least!

No they had promised to action a refund immediately but it just never happened. They also refunded the postage seperately and only after several complaints, even if they had been trying to 'verify' things the refund should of all been processed together.

No never received an apology, just the exact price I paid for the disc and postage.
I never received anything else to cover the phonecalls or the packaging and trip to the post office. I know that other members have had good service with them but due to my experience with them I will not be using them again.
