allycat999 in a situation like this I would always photograph the disk. Did you by any chance do this and if so could you post the images. Would be interesting to see.---->

I have spent a fortune with Play and have never had a problem ever, they are brilliant. Everyone makes mistakes but if a company such as Play have made a mistake like this then they would be in big trouble if you wanted to make a meal out of it.
As someone has already said, certain DVDs are coming on extremly bad DVD disks at the moment which do look like a copied DVD. Blockbuster have them for their rentals.
This obviously isnt the case in your scenario though due to the fact that the DVD was not sealed - very strange0 -
Hi, no unfortunately I didn't photograph the discs, but it was not an orange one like you posted it was a purple backed dvdr. I copy my kids walt disney and let them play the copy keeping the original safe to make another copy when they scratch the disc. Having a 2 and 3 year old this saves me a fortune and tempers when they ruin a disc. I use dvdr printables so I instantly recognised this one as a copy. A quick check in the computer confirmed this to be a standard dvdr not even a DL disc. Had no response yet from play except send the disc back for a refund. I must point out that I have used play in the past and had no problems before but I was stunned to receive a copied disc. :eek:0

For what it's worth, play.com are one of the best companies* on the web. I, and many of my friends and family, have spent a lot of money with them and have never been anything less than satisfied with them. They have an extremely good reputation umong web-goers with much of thier business generated by word of mouth.allycat999 wrote:I am extremely annoyed and will not be using them again
* Should that be companys or companies? It is not plural, but companys doesn't look right. I know it doesn't matter but it's bugging me!
Ditto - it looks like Gizmo, after whom my dog (after whom I am named) is named!bigglesinc wrote:Love the Avatar by the way...

PS. Do you like my avatar? I customized it just for halloween!0 -
(it is companies-could be worded 'out of many companies, play is the best'-sorry I can't explain any better!)Getting Married 19/02/110

No, you explained it well. I am a real pedant when it comes to this sort of stuff - I always write with proper apostrophes and grammar (even when texting, entering data on Sage accounts etc.).Louiseuk25 wrote:(it is companies-could be worded 'out of many companies, play is the best'-sorry I can't explain any better!)0 -
Thanks gizmo, although my grammar is pretty good, my range of vocab is appalling...just had to look up pedant in the dictionary-have certainly learnt something new today!Getting Married 19/02/110

I never used to use the word, until I watched a documentary on proper use of English in which it was used all the time, and I think it just stuck with me!Louiseuk25 wrote:Thanks gizmo, although my grammar is pretty good, my range of vocab is appalling...just had to look up pedant in the dictionary-have certainly learnt something new today!0 -
You're speling is'nt grate thogh.gizmoleeds wrote:I always write with proper apostrophies and grammer
As you are a self-confessed pedant, I do hope the two mistakes in one sentence were deliberate.
