Hi Fermi,
This is a great thread, fair play to you for putting all these links into one place.
Someone asked in an earlier post about being able to keep the car - this is important to me! I don't see any links about it, did you manage to post anything?
Cheers,
Lyon0 -

Hi
I am new to the board of have recently been through the Bankruptcy process. As with many things you tend to learn about what you should have done; after the event.
In my situation i was basically rolled by a rogue business partner. As the business was a partnership and i was the founder and guarantor of much of the liabilities, it all came flooding to me and my partner made a sharp exit.
If you are in a position too, one should plan a bankruptcy carefully. You will lose all that you are able to lose. If you have been a silly boy and burned your way through credit cards then you probably deserve your situation. On the other hand if your forced in to bankruptcy by another then prepare to protect your assetts. Car, home, finances, business can all be managed with some forward thinking. Protecting yourself, your family and the roof over your head is your number one priority. Plan your bankruptcy and Do not let your assetts go without first thinking long and hard as to what it took to aquire them.
Get professional advice and then get many second opinions. CAB were very helpful and they will check your documentation for you and answer any questions you might have. But the final decision is yours so make it wisely. Once bankrupt your as good as having one arm tied to your ankle for 12 months or more.
>>update<<
Going thorugh the bankruptcy process has actually not been as painful as i thought it would be. I was able to get a bank account and begin trading again as a sole trader. Although not ideal, I have the chance to rebuild a business and make a second go.0 -
