Business born, Business grow and eventually closed for some reason. Closing a business because of bankruptcy is the most painful of all. I can relate to this kind of experience because of my in-laws. But the most important is how you deal with it and stand again to pick up the pieces and start a new. Being optimistic is very important. Turning those negative into positive to motivate yourself to stand and look for a brighter horizon.

What'd also recommend is positivity beyond the basic financial side of things. If you want to set up a new business, or something similar, a couple of years down the line, go for it! Don't let past mistakes weigh you down, learn from them and move on, believe in your own financial success and you should be on the right road!

not sure if this has been mentioned before or if this is even the right place to mention it but if you have been made bankrupt remember to apply for your council tax debts to be written off up till the date the order was made.

    Hi,

It would be very useful to have some sort of BR related glossary of terms and acronyms on here or as a sticky, especially for newbies. I know when I started reading through threads I had know idea what half of them were and really struggles to work them out or had to continually ask people. I still don't know what some of them are! Would this be possible?

Also it would be great if we could have a Bankrupcty Diaries sub-board, like the Debtfree Diaries sub-board. I find it really helpful to read through peoples experiences of the court hearing and OR interview, and it would be great to be able to continue that through the BR period to discharge and post BR experiences.

    Thanks :)

Here: Glossary for "Bankruptcy & Living With It"

I'm afraid that you have to limit the number of stickies. Especially on busier boards.

I'll add that link to the first post of this thread though.
