  • SFH - I'm about!!
Gert you are so busy - good for you!
Still haven't looked into dancing classes, I wish we all lived nearer each other - oh what what fun we'd have, we'd be like first wives club - or probably more like witches of eastwick:rotfl:

Hey Kizzy, hope your'e ok girl......

I went to Salsa class tonight in my hometown, it was brilliant, soooo friendly, the people were just so nice to us beginners, and best of all you can just turn up, don't need a partner, its such a friendly place. (And some very tasty male specimens too !!!)

If there is one in your area, I would definitely recommend it just to get you out, meet new friends and take up an interest. I met an old friend there tonight, havent seen her in years as we lost touch, she is now single, and we are meeting up to go out and catch up on old time....some things were just meant to be sometimes !

There is a life out there, beyond the realms of lying, cheating scumbags, we just have to go out and find it, it won't come knocking on our doors :-)

One thing I have noticed tho is all those sickly, barf inducing songs! Soz!

Guys I have been here, for all I know I may be here again........Hope not...

But I used to listen to real feel good stuff! Stuff that rocked my soul and made my pants want to get up and dance............Here goes.....

    1. Bright side of the Road....... Van Morrison
    2. Build me up Buttercup ...... Can't remember
    3. Hey Ya!.....................Outkast

There are so many more, than all the sad songs!

    Tomorrow, Girls, I still
  • Soz, what I wanted to say was............

Girls, start to look at your positive attributes, let us know what they are. You will inspire lots of us, just as this, god damn thought provoking thread already

  • Jules good luck for the birth, I'm so glad I didn't have a c-section, I really didn't want one, because of the recovery time, but the thought of having your womb pulled out:eek:
Woke up this morning with a splitting headache & feel sick, neck killing me too! Great, must be better for tonight.
SFH - what will I do when you go to OZ???
Robster - don't go losing your hubby too:p although we love your company, we'd rather have it as support - not the other way around:rotfl:
I have been listening to upbeat music too, just love that Anastacia & Eros Ramazoti one - as I said I'm going to have it at my next wedding:D
Kimlisa - I would rather go to a salsa class that was more social ( has booze:D ) rather than one at a dance school, there did use to be one nearby, will check out if they still do it, this was years ago, you just jogged my memory.

:rotfl: :rotfl: Sorry about the sandwich!!! No don't get knocked out. They give you a little injection in your back - you have to sit one the edge of the bed and curl forwards - not easy with a stomach the size of a small planet!! Then they tell you to sit perfectly still! They put a line in between a couple of you verterbrae which feeds fluid into the spine and basically paralysis sets in from the bottom of the ribs down. It's a bit odd really but you don't feel anything!
They were saying the "it's a boy" before I'd even realised they'd started last time!!
The weirdest bit was when they removed the placenta. Heard the Consultant say "we're going to have to take her womb out!" thought this was a bit drastic and that maybe they should discuss it with me? Turns out it was just to make thing's easier for him so my uterus got an out of body experience before being put back!!
Probably sounds worse than it is. No pain!:j Was up and moving around the following day, bit sore then but not as bad as the poor girl opposite who'd had a natural birth and stitches!! She was in agony!!!
Sorry if I've put anyone else of any food!:rotfl:

OoH Yuk yuk yuk yuk yuk!!
And I work in medicine too! But anything gynae makes my toes curl and my legs cross!!
Hope it all goes well for you and you have a happy healthy son at the end of it all.
I, too, think you're being incredibly nice letting him be anywhere in the county, never mind the hospital. Understand your reasons though.
    Take care

Hi Kizzy, hope you had peaceful sleep last night....

The club I went to was actually at a Social Club in Southampton which has given itself over to Salsa and Latin classes, it was fantastic, and there are not one but two bars to choose from ! I'm gagging to go back for more...they also run party nights, social dances, and lots more to become involved with.

I'll PM you with the link

Hope everyone else is OK today and the weekend brings them some happiness.
