Message from Board Guide:
I have had to delete a couple of posts in this thread because they are for personal gain through the 'Refer-a-friend' scheme. Can I remind everyone referals are not allowed on the main board. This now also includes links to referals on the Referrers board as explained in the new rules.0 -
You can get £90 if you check the referrals board for a MSEer who will give you £40 of the £50 they receive for referring you..0
-
I don't know whether they still do, but a couple of weeks ago I opened an Online Saver account, and when I completed the application they then offered me a link to get £50 cashback if I opened a Premier Direct at the same time. This was before the Regular Saver, so they may not do it now?0
-
And that wasn't the refer-a-friend £50?.0
-
The offer for this account has been extended until the end of the year.

No, I was offered this last week, however I had opened the Premier direct a couple of days before so could not take advantage. I have complained about this, you dont get the offer until after you have made the saver application and why should you be penalised for opening two accounts in the wrong order!0 -
i stupidly opened a premier current account with a&l on 19.12.05. chatting to a friend on 3.1.06 found out that on their website they were offering £50.00 for the very same account but online only.
i wrote to them to say i was thoroughly disappointed i wasnt given full facts in branch when i opened account and the letter i've had back today denies that the incentive was even there when i opened the account.
i definitely saw it myself on their website on 3.1.06, yet they are stating it wasn't there at all and that the offer had finished before i opened my account (on 19.12.06)
what was i looking at then?
warned them i'm considering getting contact details from all on this forum who have had bad service when it comes to incentives with the hope i'll have enough to get the independent body involved and watchdog from the BBC.
anyone want to join me? email me on email removed by boardguide
will let you know what happens. _pale_Pabby-Ellis
Incentive Current account Queen0 -
Up to beginning of December there was in place the Refer-a-Friend scheme for sure.
I do not know if this has been discontinued or when. But give a look to the referrers board and ask Dagobert. If that was still valid you can make 90 pounds extremly simply.
If that is not valid and you feel A+L has mistreated, write directly a formal complaint letter with clear explanations of what happened. There is the address on the A+L pages (Contact us). They are good in replying to that and trying to settle the matter.0 -

Was it:
1) £50 for opening a current account? This incentive, which I believe is still running, is offered to people who open a savings account online BEFORE opening a current account.
2) Recommend a friend and earn £50? This is also still available so you could get a friend to fill in the form, or find a friendly MSEer who will do it for you and also give you up to £45 of the £50 they receive.
Various moneysavers have received one or more of these bonuses each, but I'm not clear which one you saw offered? Did your friend apply for a savings account before his/her current account? Do you have a link to the page where the bonus is offered?
