"They"? Anticlause said "I".0 -

I also have 2 x £1,000 with the Derbyshire. For a limited period of time, back in June/July, you were allowed to open two accounts at the same time. Maybe they've stopped it now. For sure mine started June 1st.0 -
Info is now on the A&L website about this offer, but it doesn't say that you're only eligible for the 10% regular saver if you apply from Monday 31st October.
Therefore, those that apply over the weekend won't get the increased rate I don't think.Filiss0 -

They did allow you to open another in June this year I think it was for 1 month only.
I only found out near the end of June on this site so nearly missed it.
EDIT: The month was actually July.0 -

Very interesting all this. I'm considering opening a direct whatever account and one of these saving accounts and transfering the money in each month.
I'm going to have to draw a diagram of my financial operations soon; it's getting complicated. Good fun though.Happy chappy0 -

Well, I work in engineering and spend most of my days doing spreadsheets and computer programs, so this is OK stuff by me. I was never interested in financial matters until recently and it's now something I think about every day.
All the same, I've gone from a single current account, one credit card, one flexible loan to three current accounts (Barclays being decomissioned due to pathetic 0.1% credit interest), one mini cash isa, two savings accounts, possibly another current account and another savings account.
Thing is, I will be closing down/making dormant some of the parts.Happy chappy0
