I am going abroad for 2 weeks in August, and it's going to cost me around £100 for parking near Gatwick, so that would be a lovely bit of spending money if I can save it. Do a lot of people do this? I could imagine angry locals on the watch for this sort of thing, although there's no law against parking in an ordinary street, is there?? Does anybody know how long a car can sit in one spot before being called abandoned?
Lots of people do this around Gatwick. One of the most popular spots is the Maidenbower estate just off Jn10A. (There are nearer places but it's safe to return to at night and you're unlikely to get your car damaged). You can then get a taxi to pick you up from outside the Europa hotel next to the junction. Costs £8-£15 to the airport by local taxi firm (depending on firm, and time of day/night) but don't use the airport cabs or you'll get stung for more. They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0 -
Ok not exactly an airport, but at £11.50 a day the Eurostar car parks are just as expensive, if not more expensive, than some of the worst rip-offs in airport parking. Does anyone know if I am allowed to park in Bluewater shopping centre for free for five days and then take the free transfer bus from Bluewater to Ebbsfleet Eurostar station?0

Staff are friendly to book in with and they were on time on the day of my holiday. Cant fault them. Just seen that they have quite good reviews on the review centre website0 -
