    Hello!

I'm looking for parking at East Midlands Airport from the morning of 11th June 2008- early evening on 21st June 2008.

Thanks to this helpful thread have got a price of £48.77 through the egg link. Is it ok to use this without an egg card?

Any suggestions for a better price?!

    Many thanks.

Why "onsite" when it looks expensive to have your car cluttering up the airport.
At that sort of price, you must be getting to the point where a hire car both ways looks reasonable, especially when the present cost of using your own vehicle is taken into account? Woops no you are coming all the way from Wales, I think I understand your problem!
Presumably the prospect of "wasting" an extra 30 - 60 minutes in each direction look like "the last straw" on the journey you are making, if you use one of the off site alternatives?
  • We need to park our car at Birmingham Airport for 14 days and a few hours in April 2009. So far the best prices that we have found are £39.90 with both Purple Parking and AHP. I thing that these are very good prices however if you think you know of any better ones then I would be interested to hear about them.

Just in case anyone wanted an update on the Luton parking at Luton Airport Parkway car park.

We've just got back, and left our car there for 8 days. You have to pay £1.50 for the bus (every 10 minutes) - kids officially half price, but ours weren't charged. On the way back, officially the rates were the same, but there was no-one selling/demanding tickets on the way back. So total cost for bus fares for 2 adults and 3 kids was £3.

Re the actual parking charges, officially it's £24 a week plus £5.80 per day. But - we decided to pay on our return as the machine left you the option of paying either in advance or just before leaving - were thrilled to discover the machine only charged us £18 for the 8 days - no idea why!

So total cost for us was £21 for 8 days - fantastic value.

There was also plenty of room, it was easy to find and claimed to have someone on-site 24 hours a day.

    So recommended!

That's really interesting, did it feel and appear safe? My OH is very concerned about parking there thinking our car will be trashed!

Yes, it felt completely safe. Our car was fine. There is an office with a light on and a bell to ring so seems to be permanently manned as it claims, although I didn't ring the bell to find out.

    Seemed fine to me.

Need parking from 2nd to 5th July near Luton.

Am intereted in also parking at Luton Airport Parkway but from what I can see http://www.firstcapitalconnect.co.uk/Main.php?sEvent=StationInfo&crs_code=LTN the shuttle bus only starts at 5am. Not sure if this is leaving it too late for a 6:35am easyjet flight.

I've got around £25 with APH which might be worth it given there are 3 of us and the shuttle bus fares

    Any thoughts or alternative suggestions?
