I need to leave a car at Gatwick for four and a half days next month.
I've checked a couple of web suggestions on this thread and turned up a some possibilities asking less than 25 GBP:
1. Cophall Farm Parking
2. BCP (Airparks) via Egg
3. APH park and Ride via Purple Parking.
Any one got any feed back on these or any other suggestions?

It is approx £20 p.w (best to pay when you park up) and about £3-£4 for any extra days. It has a free bus service to the airport which comes regularly and takes less than 5 minutes - if you need any more help feel free to pm me.
Just to add that this is a great service, not sure if it was nicolarichard that I got this advice from but thanks to whoever it was.
Please note though that they have now started charging for the bus. Last week we paid £1.50 per adult for the trip from the train station to the airport (our friends paid 75p for their little girl) but paid nothing for the return trip. I don't know if this is because it was so busy or, if there is simply no charge!?
Also note that the cost is £4.90 per day but the give you a weekly rate now of £22 and it is this much for 5, 6 or 7 days, I didn't notice if there was a rate for two weeks.

Went with APH.
Coming south past the LGW motorway turn-off, it is at least 30 minutes before you get back to this junction on the coach.
That said, it was a confidence inspiring professional operation: fast, efficient and glitch free. That is a lot more than I can say for BAA at Gatwick. In spite of a weather forecast warning of snow for the last 7 days, all the planes on the runway froze up. The 4 departure monitor screens filled up with 40+ delayed and cancelled flights, so we damned nearly missed our plane. It had flown in de-iced by an efficient airport, so was ready to fly out again on time, but with the South terminal totally full of slumped bodies all over the floor, it was impossible to hear the announcements over the Tannoy.
We sat on the plane for 1.5 hours as the captain tried to get some support to round-up his passengers. ( sandwich-board anyone;)) and eventually took off with about 10 missing (bomb anyone:rolleyes:).
Perhaps the BAA staff were just too busy with Terminal 5.0 -

Do you also know if the bus still runs overnight as the website suggests it only runs from 05:00 - 24:00 now.0 -

I too am wondering if anyone has any feedback on Luton Airport Parkway - can a week's parking still be paid for on arrival, for about £23?
How frequent are the shuttle buses in the afternoon, I have seen various answer ranging from every 5 mins to every afternoon.
Thanks!0 -
I'm a regular APH Manchester user. I just rang to get a quote for 2 weeks in August for hols. I explained that I am a regular (been using them for business trips lately). I said I wanted a better price than the standard 10% discount. The actual price should have been £75 - I got it for £48. Make sure you ask!0
