Have just booked with https://www.tudorrose.co.uk for a fortnight's parking at Gatwick - £60 compared to £78 with aa discount as the next cheapest, and all the main websites were £85-£90. Unlike the main websites this price doesn't increase nearer your departure date.
Will come back and let you know how they were.

    Hi there,
we have just used the Thistle Hotel at Nottingham East Midlands and they were fantastic. Great hotel and breakfast. Only 30 minutes from getting off the plane to driving off in my car. Thanks Thistle.

We leave our car at a small car park, run by a bloke from his own home about 7 minutes away from Stansted. He has a secure high-fenced lock-up area and transfers to and from the terminals are included in the price, which is £5 a day.

I have no connections with this man, other than being a customer. Send me a PM if you want his details.

    Hi All,

First thanks to Addy for the contact details unfortunately he was booked up.

So instead I used Stansted Mountfitchet.

Trains are regular and take 5 minutes to get to the airport.
A return train ticket costs £3,50 per adult.
Parking - You can park at the railway station in Mountfitchet, but I chose to p#ark on street. Using multimap (https://www.multimap.com) or google maps (https://www.maps.google.com) you can get a street plan and explore. I parked on Sunnyside - lesas than 2 mins walk to the station. No parking restrictions and seemed a quiet street.

Bkasically parking at Stansted Mountfitchet was fine for me, a real cheap aslternative to airport parking. Consider the costs of train tickets vs car parks if you have a full car, and it may not be for people who are worried about on street parking.

    Hope this helps.
