  • Has anyone used the site at Maple Manor?
I look through the conditions and see that they are not liable to this and that. I know this is standard practise but it always gets me worried and so I thought I would see who has used them and any problems that may have occured.
I have wife, 12 year old son and 2 x 7 month girls and so need to weighup cost and ease of use, they seem great with picking up and dropping off car at Gatwick Terminal so I really hope that there are no other problems.
Any other Car Parks/ Hotels with stays for 16 nights would also be of use.

    Thanks in advance

Simple suggestion - I've been doing it for years.
Find town close to airport( say a £5 to £10 taxi ride away) and park car in quiet residential street, preferably near a police station. If you've got a family and lots of luggage drop them off nearby so residents don't see what you're doing.
Phone for a taxi ( having got the numbers before you left ) to aiport.
Enjoy holiday while thinking of how much money you've saved.
It's even cheaper from Gatwick - drop the family off at the aiport and park in the town at the end of Gatwick runway and either walk to the South Terminal ( it takes about 15 minutes ) or even cheekier walk to one of the hotels nearby and take free courtesy shuttle bus to airport.
And by the way,no-one has ever twigged and the car has always been there on my return.

Have used Maple Manor before (twice I think- was a couple of years ago!!) - found them to be very efficient and obviously cheaper than parking at the airport with a better service chucked in.

They stress that you shouldnt phone them until you clear customs (which I did) and my car was waiting outside the terminal when we reached the doors. Very impressed.

I don't remember the liability clauses when I used them but i imagine they are no different to the ones at the airport.

This is a good thread - I remeber how hard it was to find cheaper independant airport parking before I found Maple Manor. You should try searching for it on Google!! (cheap airport parking that is - not Maple Manor)

Plenty of posts about the larger airports but can't find anything about Luton. I'm going out on a flight in mid October for 5 days.... any ideas?

Thought I would let everyone know, Ive just booked 1 night stay & 15 days parking In The County Hotel, Bramhall, near Stockport. Sunday is special rates, a double room is £40 for the 2 of you. Then there is an £8 each way taxi fair to the airport. (special rate apperently).
Its a little further out than most of the airport hotelss, but after looking on the internet, a lot of them are now saying ,that in the morning you have to take your own car to the carpark anyway!
With my experience of Manchester, I would probably get lost & miss my flight.
I think its a good deal
All of the other days are £27.50 each, then the taxi fair on top. Still a good deal I think.
    Check it out :T
