    Hi Guys

None of the purple parking codes worked for me just now.

I need a hotel ideally for 2 adults and 2 kids for Wed 7th April 2010 with 14 days parking, flying from Heathrow T1.

Best price I can get for a 4* (preferred) is £119 undercover secret hotel (Crowne Plaza) from holidayextras.

Any help for other websites or codes is much appreciated.

    JJ
  • I parked with Ruth and Ryan, I found them on park at my house. They were 10 minutes from the airport, they were also the cheapest I could find- £16.50 a week! Their feedback was excellent, so we gave it a go. The service was spot on, for an extra £10 they dropped us off at the airport and were waiting in arrivals when we got back. Highly recommended- I have rebooked for later this year. Look on the website or phone them on 01425478944.

Does anyone know if it's safe to lock your helmet to your motorbike at Heathrow 5? My padlock and chain is insurance approved and to be frank, if someone can pick that lock (sure can't cut it unless they have an angle grinder) then fair dues, they deserve the bike as a reward :) More worried about it getting totally damaged.
Not been to the M/C area at Heathrow so do not know how secure/secluded/clean it is.

Any help gratefully recvd. My flight leaves at 8am in the morning and I'm loathe to pay £50 for a cab.

Take a motorcycle to the airport!

Free parking in short term (close to the terminal), under cover unless you're very unlucky (or at Luton!).

More reliable than a car/taxi (traffic jams) or public transport (sadly).

You can get your holiday stuff in a large rucksack and store your bike gear in panniers or top box. The helmet can go on the chain used to secure the bike, or you can take it with you as hand luggage (it's an item of safety equipment so they can't insist on putting it in the hold if you have other hand luggage). But get there another way if it's raining - your gear will be rather ripe on your return if it's been stewing for two weeks in a sealed box.

Amazing what a quick search of this thread can find;)

I bought 3 weeks parking at LHR about a month ago from Purple Parking using TIPO.
(Did not mention it at the time as there is many a slip between cup and lip.)
I had to fiddle about a bit and then the site branched to another screen (I think really intended for frequent corporate flyers).
    Cost less than 50 GBP.
No problems - good standard mini bus service to and from Southall.
(Not to be confused with PP's premium minibus offering)

  • I'm looking for cheap 'meet & greet' parking at Stansted in August. Does anyone have any tips on the various companies, as there seem so many at very different prices, or even discount codes I can use?

    Thanks
