  • This may sound daft but....has anyone found that the iron is actually shriking their clothes?? I am fairly sure I have not put on weight but do feel quite sure that my clothes are a little, 'er, tighter than they were before the Philips iron arrived!

My logic tells me that the iron is so hot, like a tumble drier really and that the steam from the iron works in the same way as a drier. So, anyone else notice this or do I just need to do some serious dieting!

My second favorite household chore is ironing. My first being, hitting my head on the top bunk bed until I faint.

So are u saying that all us people that didn't get aren't doing what we are supposed to be doing. Most of us do what we are supposed to do also but we have not been invited so it's not really correct to say that members who do what they are supposed to do get one, that's just not true is it!

You were lucky to get one which is great but spare a thought for the ones that didn't through no fault of their own!!!!

Not at all, what I'm saying is that because these people have got them and selling them that people like you are not getting them. And thats what I have been saying all along. I never said anywhere that you did not get one because you were not doing it properly, so don't know how you got that.
Thanks for any help and advice given

For the record I dont agree with them putting them on ebay, I wanted an invite to trial this and havent either. But once people have them and they've paid there £20 for them, its their iron so what right does anyone have to tell them what they can and cant do with it.

The boxes where clearly marked NOT FOR RESALE on the outer packaging. The accquired it as part of a product trial, for a vastly reduced sum, so why can't the company state that the product can not be resold?

If they didn't want the iron in the first place they didn't have to accept the invitation.

They saw the opportunity to make a quick profit and possibly spoil things for other users.

I also bzzed and commented on the possible resale on ebay....

Hi BzzAgent ******! Thanks for chatting to your mom about your experiences with the Philips Pressurised Steam Generator. We aren't sure why there are more for sale on ebay right now. Hopefully no one is selling their iron from BzzAgent, as that is a big no-no. Thanks for sharing your honest opinion of the iron with your mom. Be sure to let us know what she decides!"
  • Good morning,
I have just noticed on my local freecycle this:
I have 5 vouchers that give £20 off a steam generator iron at Argos.
You can purchase any Philips model. They are restricted to Argos use
only and only redeemable against Philips.

I will not give all 5 to same person and i will post out if need be as
i dont think it is worth travelling to get these.

I know they are giving them away but that is not the idea of bzz either.
unless she creates a bzz with each of the people who wants one.

I love my iron and i am really sorry the people who wanted one couldn't get one because of the greedy people out there looking to make some money.
  • Silly comment time.....

It is just me or has anyone else found that their clothes have shrunk slightly? My hubby thinks I'm bonkers but any clothes that have been ironed with the new generator seem to be a litlte tighter than normal.

Either that or I need to go on a diet!

  • You will always get dishonest people taking the 'micheal' BUT I believe in a simple motto 'What goes around, comes around'.

They will be caught and kicked off.........

There are a lot of people signed up for the iron bzz trials so if you were to return the irons at the end of the trial, what would happen to a used iron? not very environmentally friendly eh?.

I dont think there is anything that bzz can do to stop these rogues tbh. How can you tell someone is not genuine just by signing up? you have to give them the benefit of the doubt. The only way would be to etch 'Trial product bzz - not for resale' on the iron itself. But then people will still sell them even with that on!
  • what sort of scores are people getting for thier bzz reports? this is my first campaign and I want to check im doing it right!! :o

My Hubby is concerned as to how much more electricity is being used by the iron?

    Anyone know?

Can you imagine how much landfill space is required for all those 5 vouchers? :D

I was wondering too. I'll get my leccie monitor onto it tomorrow and report back unless someone more on the ball has already done the calculations. :D
