I cant believe people are getting so upset, its a freebie !!!! Reading some of your posts you would think its the end of the world. Whop de do if you get £2 or £10 vouchers, they are vouchers you wouldnt of had in the first place. Its not all about getting what you can for nothing its also about helping to improve products. As for people saying that they dont care if bzz goes under and that they have unsigned themselfs, im sure bzz would be glad to get rid of those free loaders.

For the rest of us that like to bzz and to help improve products keep on bzzin !
Are you drinking the petrol? :rotfl:

How is this campaign helping to imrove a product? It is helping Shell sell more VPower and spread the word of how good (they hope) it is. However, why are the agents told they will receive £20 free petrol and then realise they are not going to get it and all they are getting for their time is enough vouchers to use the enhanced fuel instead of standard fuel - date restricted, I may add?

Normally I would agree with you that anything free is better than nothing but if you read the posts in here rather than scroll to the bottom and hit reply, you would have realised that some members live a bit away from the nearest Shell station and in order to use this campaign, they would have to spend money - that is like some lassie standing at a taster stall in a supermarket and as you take a bite of what she is offering a taste of, she is asking for money.

I use my car for business and can travel up to 1,000 miles per week, so I thought I could really help this campaign but they have lied to me and I cannot tolerate liers. As mentioned previously, if they had come out and apologised for half the participants not receiving the £20 voucher and explained they could not send anymore out, I would have done the campaign but they blatantly lied and clearly do not understand that people do speak about campaigns and what they received or not received.

As for the poor lass that spend £30 to trial hair straighteners and then noticed they were in Boots for £32 - you deserve a decent campaign in the future but sadly, I think this latest issue will be hard to shake off for Bzz.

It is not exactly a freebie, we were offered the £20 vouchers to use the product so that we would have an accurate idea of what the product is all about before bzzing to friends and family about it.

The "freebie" is in exchange for the advertising and feedback that you are giving on the product.

If it were a freebie, we would get the vouchers and do nothing in return.

I think people are more upset about the fact that they are blatantly being lied to, rather than not getting the vouchers.
  • I just got the same email claiming the cover letter was a "typo" about the 2 x £10 Shell Fuel vouchers. If it was a supposed typo, then why did some of the people get the 2 x £10 Shell Fuel vouchers? Sounds very dodgy to me.
  • There was something i noticed actually...
The Campaign was listed twice, I missed the first one (told that it was full). Then a week later it was listed again with the same details, and which I managed to sign up for. I'm wondering if the first round of sign-ups got the £20 and then they decided that they still had a shed-load of the 4x £2 vouchers and did another round of sign-ups - but didn't bother to change the bumph (spelling?).

    Just a thought...

Hi I posted earlier on today and am amazed so many of us have had the same kit and automated responce. I am actually very tempted to contact Shell who must be paying Bzz quite a sum to drum up extra intrest in their brand and who probably think the "agents" are getting full advantage of this offer and not some office or courier staff having a free ride............ so to speak!

anyone else feel this might be a good idea. Im certainly not wasting my time, spending £20+ on petrol 5p a litre more expensive than normal fuel to save £2 then waste more time telling everyone how fab it is.

  • Here's one for you.....
Would all Bzzagents please state what Status they are and if they received the 2 x £10 vouchers. The reason I am asking is that it may be a 'bzzperk' for those with a higher status so it'll be interesting to see the stats. I'll start.

Level 4 - Honey Bee. No £10 vouchers & pack delivered by FedEx.

(This is the first email I have had about this campaign and apparently I'm supposed to get 'early invites' to campaigns. Just a comment on a users post about this being the '2nd run' for the campaign))

Hi just wanted to say I have also sent an email regarding the missing vouchers but have not recieved a reply, I am uset that so many of us have been lied to about this issue and not been given a proper response to our emails.

This letter is brilliant and absolutley sums up the situation so thank you for sending it. Hopefully we will get the response we all deserve considering we are meant to be passing on good information about both companys involved and many of us now can not do this due to being unable to trial the product.

    One email sent as follows:
    "Hi there!
I received my bzzkit today, but was very disappointed to find that the 2 £10 vouchers weren't in there.
I have noticed that there seems to be a consistency that follows:
Bzzagents who receive their kit via Royal Mail have had the vouchers in a red envelope in their kit.
Bzzagents who have received their kits via FedEx have not had the vouchers and many have reported some sort of tampering with the white envelopes or boxes that the kit has arrived in.

The two kits also have different numbers on the envelopes.

I am not the only Bzzagent to wonder what is going on. I am not sure if you have included the vouchers in half of the kits and drawn them in a lottery style or perhaps sent out these kits to agents of a higher status, but we have ALL had letters in our kits listing these vouchers so it is only fair that we all get them.

Many agents have emailed you with this issue and have received the the same 'copy and paste' response saying that it is a 'typo'. I would like to think that Bzzagent do not take their agents as lacking common sense. something is amiss somewhere and it is only fair that we are given a proper explanation of what has happened, particularly if you have no intention of sending out the 2 x £10 vouchers as advertised in our kits.
Please understand that some of us may go out of our way to visit a Shell garage or spend a little more on fuel for your campaign, so having 3 X £2 vouchers off a 20litre+ fill is a little cheeky. I say 3 because the 4th voucher runs out tomorrow!

I hope to receive a personal response from you in reference to this. I shall also update my fellow Bzzagents with this.

    Kindest Regards"

Lets see what they say to that. It's really unfair of them to do that and I won't be fobbed off with a bog standard reply!
