Very simply put, the little adapter IS a mobile phone!

You can use it anywhere you can get a signal on 3.

and mainly here; Full story over here...

Just to add that this deal also offers I think 6 countries which will be treated 'as uk' for cost purposes - Austria, Australia, Denmark, Italy, Ireland, Hong Kong, Sweden). Just bought it myself since we both are often across the border into republic of ireland, for both work and leisure.

From what I understand 5gb is somewhere around 140-160 hours of 'normal' surfing time (hopefully surfing this site counts as normal :))

I use skype out which is not accessible using the three skype phone so I thought I had better check that when I use skype via this dongle that I would have full use of its services ie I can use skype out for telephone calls and that there was no further charge by Three for this.

    Cheers

I ordered last week and today got a text bumping my delivery date back a couple more days from the 1st August.

My quidco isn't tracking yet either :(

Same here although I just had an email to say it's being delivered Tuesday 5th August. My Quidco has tracked though. :j

Mine didn't track ... presuming I'll have to follow it up in a fortnight or whatever...

  • When I installed the driver from the USB modem in the network settings it is called '1.3G', is this normal
  • also, on the HSDPA nework how many kb/sec is normal. I'm getting about 16 kb/sec. It seems fairly low.

I got mine yesterday. It's suitable enough as a backup but I wouldn't use it at home as a substitute for home broadband. The speed just isn't as good. Useful forout and about though and worth £7.50 per month IMO.
