Hi, dont want to be negative but you may find that as quick as the weight comes off...it will go back on when you resume your normal eating habits; unless you plan to detox forever.

Boring i know but ... it's far more effective & healthier to increase your exercise rather than starve your body. The occasional detox is ok but not a substitute for a balanced diet & plenty of exercise. Detox is not going to tone your muscles or improve your health, exercise will  .

I am just going to do it as a kick start, I know that when I lose the first half stone I will have the incentive to carry on. I will definitely try to change my eating habits after that, maybe do the GI or Atkins.

I'm only going to do the detox as I have a week off coming up, I do not have the willpower to do it and work at the same time:o But hopefully it will give me a good kick up the **** and maybe mean I can do a few more zips up.:D

Can you cover for the people that may not want to do it? give you something extra

I'm hoping so. I'll make sure people know I'm wanting to do some more and see what happens. We used to just put our names down for the dates we wanted to work. But then they had a few weeks where nobody volunteered. So now they have decided to make sure everybody whose contract says they must do on call does it. There have already been a few asking for someone to cover but there are lots of us that want more than one week every three months so you have to be quick.

I will be free in less than three years with a trust deed - my only option as debt management was taking too long :(

That's good Mags, I just assumed the insurance would be cancelled & that'd be it.

Yay Ossiereo :A :j :D I'm really pleased for you as you've worked so hard & kept determined while others among us have not :o .

Ah sarah - forgot about the week off, you should be fine then, was a bit concerned as when I last did it I felt terrible for about 5 days & had no energy. I actually have a great book all about detoxing, diets, exercise & general being very healthy... might be an idea to get it off the book shelf then .

Good idea for a kick start & hopefully it will encourage you to maintain the healthy eating plan, Good luck :D

I don't! Mine hit me with a snowball from about 3 feet away today slapping me off the side of the face. Not amused  Right in front of a bus stop full of people too.

Anyhoo, on the 'being single' front, I spent this morning in hospital surrounded by couples and I was in there on my own. It was horrid. I think it's at times like that it really hits you how little support you have when you're single.
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!

I know what you mean Bathgate. I had to have a procedure in November, it involved a general anaesthetic and they don't let you home without someone and then you can't be on your own for 24hrs afterwards. It was a bit depressing that my mum had to come up all the way from Wiltshire and I live in a flatshare so she had to sleep on an airbed on the floor...... I felt like a student again....

I think my worst single moment was having to go to a funeral on my own...that was really hard and afterwards I really wished I had asked my sister to come with me.
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

I forgot to say 'well done' to Ossireo - :j :j

That is great - and I have to say I think of French Connection as a thin person shop - so a 16 in there has to be worth more than a 16 in Dotty P's for example....

And wowza for the bargain! Fabulous!

secretly very jealous...if only I could do that too......

I know what both of you mean - the number of things that really hit you having to sort out on your own when you're single!

I had to go to a funeral on my own last year. I knew there would be a lot of people there that I knew, but the actual act of going there on my own was really, really tough. I was kind of "lucky" in that one very, very good friend was also there on his own, so I leeched myself on to him, which did me the biggest favour ever, because I drew a hell of a lot of strength from just being with him - he stopped me dissolving.

I have the occasional temper tantrum where I declare that I hate, hate, hate being single and dealing with everything on my own, but then I remember that actually, I quite like it.....!:rotfl:

Hugs all round to the Singletons! :T
