    Hey TDQO,

what you need is a slowcooker - check out the old style board for advice on what type, I keep meaning to buy one... but hate buying things that arent pretty or dont smell pretty ;)

I have been seriously considering it, god knows what they call them over here though!

I've also come to the realisation that I REALLY need to spend some money on clothes! I now don't even have a pair of jeans after my only pair ripped wide open at the crotch last week! My only trainers also have a 2inch hole in the sole and I wonder why my feet are covered in blisters! I hate shopping but as I have all this free time I suppose I should spend some of it in the shops

I realised yesterday too that I've been paid $6000 since september yet have nothing to show for it as I've wasted it all... bad times :o

TDQO - If it needs a couple of hours & you get home roughly the same time each night, can't you use the timer on your oven ?

Or is that a bit hi-tec for Australia :rotfl:

the timer runs for a max of 2hrs and I'm far too paranoid to let it run when I go to bed because I'm convinced the flat will burn down :o

Eek! Have just been tidying out the freezer, fridge and food cupboards, have a lot more in than I thought, a shame I didn't notice that before I went food shopping and spent £27:rolleyes: Have decided that I am not going food shopping again until everything is used up, even if it means cereal for dinner or baked beans with everything, should last for 2-3 weeks at least.

I have also realised that I am better at NSDs than I thought so will try for a higher amount next time. It means I don't have change for my sealed pot piggy on those days so I just put a £1 coin in instead.

Have just applied for a cc through Quidco (for the cashback, not to spend on) and they are going to write to me to let me know the decision, am a bit concerned as last time I applied for something financial (an overdraft extension) I got turned down. Will keep fingers crossed anyway.

P.S. I am a little concerned about how excited I am that I got a coupon through the door for a free pack of butter.:o I love free things:j

I bought a small size cheap one for about £6 nearly a year ago... and have only just tried it out tonight :o ... made a lovely salmon risotto so am very impressed with myself. :j Got a recipe book from the library as am far too clueless to adapt them safely - v straightforward, me likes this idea of 'bung stuff in pot then go and read for an hour', can't be dealing with multiple faffing in kitchen. I also have a '4-person' size one inherited from a friend of my mum's so might try doing soup in that... could freeze and take to work, however that would be scarily organised :D
