Will you wear it a lot? If you will I think that;s a great price for a coat and it looks lovely.
The clothes I bought a couple of weeks ago in a sale online have been reduced again, 70% off now:mad: Would have saved £50 if I had waited. I saw someone's sig on here which says, "never treat anyone who sees you as an option as a priority," I think that's definitely one I will add.

Dilemma: If you fancy someone who isn't on Facebook, is looking for pics of him on mutual friend's page stalkerish?

There's something that I haven't put on my list because it's something that I do anyway, but it's a good practice.
Remember that for every yin there's a yang. Basically, for every negative thought or action, try to create a positive one, e.g. every time I write a letter of complaint I'll write a letter of praise. Otherwise, you spend too much energy focusing on the bad things and not enough appreciating the good things.
And because I love you all I will share with you some quotes from one of my heros, the late, great, Bill Hicks:
"It's just a ride and we can change it any time we want. It's only a choice. No effort, no work, no job, no savings and money, a choice, right now, between fear and love. The eyes of fear want you to put bigger locks on your door, buy guns, close yourself off. The eyes of love instead see all of us as one"
Bill was a beautiful, spiritual man.
But he also said this:
"I don't mean to sound bitter, cold, or cruel, but I am, so that's how it comes out." :rotfl:£27k (excluding interest) paid off in 29 months

I'll be starting that in 2009. Until then all unnecessary spending will be overlooked;)Pay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0 -

I'm more than happy to join in the no chocolate challenge - I know I can do it. I haven't eaten chocolate since I was a little chubby 14 yr old (blimey, 18 years ago now!) and decided to give up chocolate to see if that made a difference! It did actually, and quite quickly too, but that probably says more about how much I was eating of the stuff!!!!
As for list of things for 2009:
1 - Start running again (it's a confidence thing that stops me from doing it);
2 - Get rid of those pesky Council tax arrears from 2004/5 (which they only told me about in flipping Sept 08) - these will be gone by March and I'll be £220 a month better off;
3 - Get a new car - nothing flash but a runaround for about £4-£5K (Got a 7 yr old Beetle to trade in, so hopefully get a decent p/x);
4 - Get back to Anfield at one point - keep losing out in the ticket ballots;
5 - Have a weekend in London (got enough airmiles for that 3 times over - and a cheap room courtesy of a friends' business);
6 - To get a new computer before this one dies and I lose everything.......
To be honest, none of these are things that make me sit up and think, "God, I MUST DO THIS" there just things that I, you know, kind of, you know, maybe could, like, quite like, to, um do......take it or leave it.
The main thing is to still be in the same job during 09 and end the constant flitting around trying to find a job I like! (Despite the occasional hurtful comments from colleagues, I do really like my present job more than others I have, but such is the level of worrying I indulge in, I worry myself daft that it's too good to be true and will end soon! Silly I know, but that's just me!)
Oh well, roll on 09 and getting on with it!Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0 -
The random act of kindness thing is a good one too!!! About 2 days ago, I spotted that someone had a bottle of beer under each of their car wheels (bloody vandals) and I was the one in the city centre in the wind and rain moving them to make sure someone ddn't have a ruined Xmas :-)Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0
