Now SuSu, being debt free isn't that important:D We do have a very loosely run diet on this thread though, I assume some of us will be restarting it in the new year, I certainly am (again) so feel free to join in. We just count what we lose and ignore it if we gain, which is absolutely the best way to do these things.
:rotfl: Trust me, I wouldn't even consider giving up chocolate until I'm debt free if I knew it would be for longer than 6 months!! It'll encourage me to do all I can to be debt free sooner which is a good thing!!
Skint Spice, it's encouraging to hear you didn't miss choc after the first few days. I really need my resolve for this one.
I'll definitely join your slimming group, although I don't own scales at home and tend to just jump on them when I go to stay at my brother's every month - perhaps that's a good thing though. I'll weigh myself at his when I leave on 2 Jan and we'll take it from there. Ooh, I feel more positive about this now! Thanks you lot! You might not know what you do or how you do it, but you're making me feel like I can do this!! (just as soon as I've eaten all the chocolate in the house)

Sarah, you always make me want to shop! I'm not going to next year though.
Today we went to the cemetry, Mum drove. I love My mum and she is a good driver but Jesus. I cannot take it any more. the indecision the slowness and my imaginary breaking:o . between that and the dog that barked at us the whole time - it had escaped from its garden scared the !!!! out of me. by the time we got home I was glad to still be alive!
so driving is a must. also it would mean I could work as a baby sitter!
and Sarah shut up about shopping. I am just a click away woman!!! xxxNevertheless she persisted.0 -
It certainly will be different this year, last year we didn't have this fabby group of people to provide support/ listen to rants.:D This is going to be our year Buffy:j
Carry on with the ridiculous plan making, I have my own ridiculous plan, this year I am going to make a list of 100 things I want to do in 2009, that way I am bound to get at least some of them done:D .
Definitely stick with the driving if you can Buffy, it will make such a difference to your life and increase your options. Even if it puts back your DFD it is worth doing.
ooooooooooooo a 100 things!!!! I like that idea! ((((((hugs Sarah)))))))

I totally agree, I am sat here looking at clothes and toiletries thinking how did I let this happen, but coming on here and writing it down makes it all so much easier. I CAN manage without new clothes or toiletries or make up next year. It will be a personal challenge to use everything up. I do not need more stuff and next year I will have glowing skin, shiny hair, fab clothes and shoes and I won't have to spend anything on them.Pay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0 -

Hey, as long as you actually go running in it then it's not money wasted!! Break it down to a cost-per-run basis, so the more you run the cheaper it becomes!! Makes sense to me
Mind you, I did the London to Brighton cycle ride 2.5 years ago and have still got all the biking equipment, but haven't been out on my bike once since I got home from Brighton! That's another thing to do next year - get out on my bike. Iwas going to do it this year, but it was too rainy. That's not a cop-out, btw, I'm not scared of getting wet, but I'm spectacular (I wear specs!) and it's hard to cycle while rainy specs on
On an unrelated note, I've just painted my toenails (hot red!!) and have decided to paint my fingernails. Used to do them 2/3 times a week but haven't done them for years. If nothing else it'll stop me eating chocolate for half an hour or so :rotfl:£27k (excluding interest) paid off in 29 months

:j How exciting!! I've just found Bram Stoker's Dracula on telly (channel Watch - never heard of it LOL!) Haven't seen this film for years and I LOVE it! It's so so romantic (if you can see past Canoe Reeves' wooden acting and Wynona Ryder sounding like Princess Di). I actually love Gary Oldman£27k (excluding interest) paid off in 29 months

It's great fun to write and 100 things means that by the law of averages some will get done and I have a whole year to complete them. Having to think of 100 things really makes me think about what I want, along with house, car, man etc. I had no idea I wanted a trip to the zoo or a manicure but apparently I do:DPay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0 -

Ooh, if you happen to have a facial on your list of things to do, make sure it's with Clarins. It costs £15 for 30 mins and that £15 is redeemable against a product. Then buy a handcream and put it aside for a Christmas present!£27k (excluding interest) paid off in 29 months
