Makes sense to me. I do the same with bras. As soon as I find one that fits I buy two, then my boobs change shape  Presume this doesn't happen with your feet though...

Not sure, although my big toes emerge from the ends eventually....

Jeez, a widening waist, feet getting bigger (maybe), ears getting bigger (that happens to all of us as we get older).

Sarahb, no not white, haven't done white socks since I quit playing tennis (shoulder, don't you know)

Well folks, it's been an education. I shall take all these things and treasure them dearly.

Have to go now, (early start tomorrow 7.30am) and then the DD is with me from Friday afternoon, so putting up the Xmas tree, etc.

    Have fun and be good.

Now you're being silly , 3 years

I did some fairly extreme things to get debt free. Right after my LBM I sold almost the entire contents of my home. The only things that survived were my bed, 1 wardrobe, enough clothes to fill the wardrobe, a tv stand, washing machine, cooker, & fridge

I then got an inflatable sofa, a couple of throws to go over it & a portable TV & I lived like that for nearly 5 years. I only started building back up again once I'd got debt free & saved up 6 months worth of outgoings.

I could never do that. Ever. 5 years? Hugely impressive. I just couldn't manage. But I look at your sig and I see mortgage free in 95 months. I haven't even got as far as the deposit. I guess it depends on what you are willing/able to give up. I cannot/am unable to give up "I deserve my treats". I know I would be able to get a mortgage soonish if I could stop this, but I can't.

  • Hello!

Can never go wrong with a pair of black shoes. I'm not a big shoe or handbag shopper, at any time the most pairs of shoes I have owned has been around 9. I knew someone at work that used to spend £250 a go on matching shoes and handbags (she got into £50K debt - see, there are people worse off and they are still solvent!)

Wow I really miss out on with the whole time difference thing...

I have to say that all the talk of boobs is making me feel slightly giddy, it's been far too long! Hoever to really understand your predicament of changing boobs sizes you need to send me several pictures of your boobs both in-bra and out-of-bra ;):p

Oh and I am definitely exactly the kind of tall, muscly, incredibly sexy rugby player you've been imagining ( go on, admit it) :rotfl:

I had spent far less than 100 quid in my first two years at uni but since I flew to oz I've had to buy all new work clothes and shorts etc. I HATE shopping with a passion and always recruit one or two willing females to drag me around the shops and try on clothes, otherwise I just walk in, look around and then walk out again without even looking at the clothes!

  • Hello All....

Good effort TDQO.... If ya don't ask ya don't get eh! Although I think this may be a case of 'asker's don't get'

WOW Sunderlandblackcat... 5 years. Now that's impressive!!! You must feel so proud of yourself when you type that! Geez...I'm sat here in shock! That must have been one hell of a journey! When the journey is over and you're MF , I think we should all have a party at yours to celebrate

Lula... I reccommend stalkin... it's a great laugh!! Just make sure you're with a friend...stalking alone is WRONG and VERY STALKERISH! I'm pretty sure I'll still be doing it when I'm in my 50's, if I haven't been banged up for it by then :D
I don't think I'd be able to join you on your clothes challenge. At the moment I have clothes for work,2 lots of trackies for the gym, 1 outfit for going out and 1 outfit to wear on my days off. Things are dire in the clothes department at the mo, none of my jeans fit me now they're too big and there's no way I'm gonna get back into them!! I never seem to bag a bargain when it comes to clothes either coz I hate shopping so much I cannot be doing with looking in the (jumble) sales! Good luck with the challenge tho, I think its a great one for you and Sarah ;)

    Hello!

Well, I could probably do the £100 clothes challenge next year as I've just spent £89 in M&S on some essentials. Got two pairs of trousers (grey ones and brown cords), a black top and 3 bras (I now have 9 bras in 3 different sizes, so should be ready for any eventuality!).

And...because I hate shopping SO much, and I had to go even though I've got a cold and feel lousy (I'm busy every day/evening now till next Saturday) I had to treat myself, so got some sushi and 3 for 2 bags of choc covered peanuts, raisins & popcorn

Anyway, tis done and that's that :T

    How y'all doing today??
£27k (excluding interest) paid off in 29 months
    Finally debt free!
  • You know what? I think I could do that £100 clothes challenge if I really put my mind to it. I have enough clothes for winter and summer, so I could just have it there in case a pair of shoes falls to bits or something.

Not sure how depressed I would get not being able to buy new clothes though. I don't love shopping, but love the feeling of wearing something new and getting compliments. I'll try my best though if others are with me?
