Hi all, hope someone can help.
I started my claim for bank charges 2 and 1/2 years ago. Case got stayed in August 2007 along with everyone elses.
Since then my debt has got worse and I now owe £21,500. Luckily I have managed to keep all my priorities up to date, and until this month when I have started with a dmp I have not missed any payments to anyone.
So the thing is, about 8 weeks ago I wrote to Abbey to claim £3,100 back in charges and filled out a soa that they sent. Today I have received a letter stating that they are satisfied that the charges are in accordance with the terms and conditions relating to the account.
They say they have done a credit check and after considering all information provided they are willing to refund £360 as a goodwill gesture. My point is that
a) it's a pittance compared to what I was claiming and
b) the money is going straight to the bank account that has an overdraft of £1200 ao no other creditor will benefit from the refund.
I'm unsure as to what I do next as I'm wondering if they will say it's this amount or nothing.
Any help will be most grateful.August 2009 - Debt free - August 2013
Total Debt - £21,478
New Debt - £0.000 -

Is the account still being used?
Did Smile offer anything ie suspension of charges and interest(cos if they did the FOS will probably agree with that opinion)?0 -

To be honest, since there is no priority debts then I think that is a fair amount. However, do you have any credit card/store card/ catalogue charges you can reclaim in the meantime?0 -

hi guyz....wonderin wot u make of this...on Thurs 17th Sept i received my offer letter from rbs for £1971 with it was a prepaid envelope to send my acceptance form...i noticed however that the address on the envelope and the adress on the letter was different so i gave them a call to make sure which addressto use and the lady i spoke to said to use the envelope provided as it was the same building even though both addresses and postcodes were different so i signed and posted that very morning she said i would recieve the funds in my acc in 4-5 working days after they got the form back....Mon 21st Sept called to check they had received it...she said no callback later in the week it hasnt been logged as recieved....Thurs 24th Sept called back got a guy this time he asked for last 8 digits from my debit card, password, date of birth, mothers maiden name, acc number and sort code(on previous calls all i was asked for was my ref no. from the letter)...went to check for me then came back and told me he couldnt speak to me about the claim as it was in my husbands name, i explained it was a joint acc and i had called b4 and had no probs, but he refused to talk with me! my husband came home from work and called to be told they still havent recieved the form, it must be lost in the post when he explained about the 2 different addresses, the girl told him that i should have sent to the address on the letter and not used the prepaid envelope!! the complete opposite of wot i was instructed to do in the first place! do u think these guys are stalling?? we now have to wait on another acceptance form to sign and send off again

One address is likely to be the same building. Can you post up both addresses?
The joys of google street side meant that RBS Group has a building with 2 addresses and the building are connected0 -
