DSR ratings appalling!

I am really confused about what to do to improve the DSRs. I have 100% positive - I had a positive negative removed yesterday and I'm assuming any related DSRs would have been removed at the same time.
  • I communicate with buyers when they win the item and once it is dispatched, and ongoing if required.
  • I dispatch the next day after payment, sometimes on the same day.
  • If I charge for packaging, it is 5p. I refund any extra paid.
  • Item as described - well I can only comment on what is in the feedback and this is on most of the feedback.
So today I log in to find out my search status is now lowered. Are my buyers giving positive feedback but rubbish performance feedback or do I have to give everything away for free to get back to 5.0?

Anybody else having problems?

Stars are not the only reason for lowered exposure, so are you sure it is them causing the problems? I have enhanced visibility and my stars are 4.9 4.9. 4. 9. 4.8 and occasionally drops a star below that on postage and despatch despite doing nothing differently.

Double check all the options on your seller dashboard to make sure there is nothing else that ebay have marked you down for, warnings, policy breaches etc.

I had two listings removed, but my search status is now lowered too.

I state on my listing that I post only on mondays (My day off)
I thank my buyers for payment and tell them about monday postage.
I also use the Royal Mail website for postage prices as all my packing materials are free.

    Thanks for the responses.

Soolin, I have good (green) on the other parts of the dashboard. I'm not a powerseller. Could it be that I am not selling enough per month?

harveybobbles - the two listings you had removed - did that appear in your breach part of the dashboard? I haven't had any listings removed but was wondering for future (oops, bit negative!)

    Yes they were breaches.

One was a garden shed that I listed as "advertised else where, so have the right to end auction early"

And the other one was them McDonalds monopoly vouchers - my piccies were "too clear and showed the monopoly piece" - what ever the hell that means lol.

I noticed today they have chnaged the star rating for buyers.

Before I think you could select a fraction of a number but today it was whole numbers only.

    Umm, an unusual response indeed!

Thanks harveybobbles, so do your breaches stay there for so long or are they always there or don't you know?

So you can only select 0,1,2,3,4 and 5 now and not the bits in between? (Sorry haven't done any buying since the DSR came in) Do eBay give you examples of what should be considered for giving the various marks?

You have only ever been able to leave whole stars..it is cumulative though which is why we as sellers see them with fractions.

Floxxie, if everything else looks fine, then what are your current stars showing at?

    Sorry Soolin,

I'm being really thick. If ratings are given in whole numbers, surely the sellers rating would be whole or are the ratings judged against amount sold or how does it work?

    Thanks for the info.
