But much less frequent than any windows version, and I dont frequent some of the sites that may carry them
But belt and braces (for ANY system) you know for certain 100% there's nothing on your system because you do a scan just to make sure.... oh wait a second....;)

The first worm appeared two years ago for OS X as a proof of concept, and the user has to explicitly download, install, and then run it (which involves entering the administrator's password).
This is why OS X is more secure than Windows:

I know someone who used to run Norton on his Mac. To be honest, I'd rather have a virus.0 -

Yeah that's right, not many people use Macs.
Apple is only the third largest computer manufacturer in the US, has seen a 41% growth in computer sales since last year, and has shipped 2.5 million computers in the past three months.

I'm currently running mine every couple of days (along with Spybot S&D and MalwareBytes). The only reason for this is that I am using the trial version of Eset Smart Security and I want to see if anything gets through it.
I usually scan at least once a month (although if I download things it might be more often).Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0
