How often do you run your anti virus? I run mine yesterday and it was alright, today I run it and apparently I have 2 trojans.

What's your anti virus? (could be new false positives with latest virus definitions update)
I personally don't run it that often as the active shield is pretty damn good at preventing them getting on in the first place."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

If the resident shields / protection systems in the AV package are running correctly, any suspect activity, or introduction of new viruses, from web. email or discs, will be trapped.
If then something is alerted to you, it is wise to run a full scan just in case.0 -
Ive never run one...I own a Mac:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things. stop looking at !!!!!!!!! lol
once a week as it runs a resident shield which has been bloody good (i use AVG free version) along with an antispam/spywareIf you find yourself in a fair fight, then you have failed to plan properly
I've only ever been wrong once! and that was when I thought I was wrong but I was right0 -

It's a good job unix based oses can't get viruses..... oh wait a second....
(there are wild trojans and worms out there written specifically for OS X)"She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

AVG 8 free version.0 -
i'm not being funny here so please don't get all excited at me......these can come in on certain websites that AVG won't pick up.....also been inside something you downloaded or even certain programs will show up as a trojan (when they are not) as long as you keep it upto date and run a scan now and then you will be fine
and if someone goes on about a bloody firewall then ignore it because a firewall is no good when YOU allow the download (ie trojan is attached to that download)
In this case the cure is better than the preventionIf you find yourself in a fair fight, then you have failed to plan properly

avg 7.5 and run it weekly just to be sure!:santa2:0

Should I therefore run it weekly rather than daily?0

AVG has come up a few times on this forum for warning false positives. So may be worth sending the files to AVG for analysis. They could be perfectly innocent. Depends on what they are and what trojans AVG thinks they are."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"
