Hi all,
Just want a few opinions and if anyone can help answer my questions about CPW Cashback.
I just ordered my Nokia 6630 Refurb for 3.99pm for 12months contract!
Just curious how good are CPW with the cashback? Do they do it with minimal fuss? Is all I have to do is send a Photocopy of my bill to them and they process my cashback? Does it need to be sent recoreded or even special delivery?
How has it all worked out for you? Any tips to keep everything running smooth... dont want to be chasing them up...Am worried about running into that problem!
- Also I was reading that if I port my number I have to let carphonewarehouse know in writing of this for my cashback to continue... Have any of you MSE'ers had any problems with cashback after porting your number? Was there anything you were required to send in?
Thanks all!

I took out a Vodafone contract wih E2 Save in May.
After weeks of receiving nuisance calls i telephoned CPW and told them i had an incident number from the police and please could i have a number change. I was then told i didnt need an incident number i could just go into a CPW shop and they would do a free number change for me.
Only it wasn't entirely free, first i had to pay £15.00 for the sim card which will then be credited on my next bill. Then i was told that the number change would cancel the cashback by redemption and it was in their terms and conditions. The sales advisor told me to send Charles Dunston their CEO a nasty email regarding this.
When i got home i logged onto E2 save and their cashback redemption terms and conditions didn't state that it would be invalid with a number change only by changing the price plan.
Has anyone else had this problem. Any advice would be appreciated.
This is just another item to add to my list of problems with CPW/E2Save/OSPS
I will try never to have a contract with them again although its almost impossible as they seem to have cornered the market.0 -
in my experience CPW are a disgrace. i took out the Nokia 7600 deal with them last october. i sent in my first cashback request at the 6 month point as requested.
it has now been 5 1/2 month since that request and still no payment. i have emailed customer services 6 times, i have telephoned customer services 5 times ( at my expense) and on 3 occassions i have been informed the cheque was waiting to be sent. now i am being told they have not received my bill ( sent recorded delivery).
either they are trained to lie or they are incompetant, either way i am still waiting. the next 6 month cashback request is due next week. lets hope i get that.

try https://www.saynoto0870.com and find the alternative non-premium non-rip off number for CPW.That, is an excellent question...0

Finally got my cashback cheque for August.
General customer services were no help at all.
the redemption number was slightly better - ignored the first advice to send most recent bill again by recorded. Rang again and spoke to a chap called peter (monday nights ne seems to work) - faxed bill to him and cheque was finally sorted.
OSPS were good and prompt in comparison !!0 -
I have got my redemption back within a couple of weeks of sending it. I always find them at CPW so helpful, I always go to the store though not phone them. I even got a cup of tea.0

it's been 14 days since my last promise of my cashback cheque by CPW. i have contacted them again on the saynoto0870 number and they now say they have sent out three cheques, however the cheques have been cancelled by the redemption office before being posted. they apoligise as they can see no reason for this.
guess what? i have been promised a cheque will arrive within 14 days, i won't hold my breath. i'll keep you all updated.
the service is appauling.

further to my last posting.
i received a cheque today for £33 less than i was entitled too. i phoned customer services again today and they apoligised. then they said the cheque they sent had also been cancelled and i couldn't cash it. if i wanted the money i was entitled too, i will have to sent the cheque back ( at my expense) and they will send out another cheque for the right amount. the saga continues.
my advice is stay clear of CPW cashback offers. they do not pay up, their customer services are appauling and they lie. avoid like the plague. over 5 1/2 months and still not received the money i am entitled too.
any suggestions on what to do next?0
