Thats what it says to do in 'help', but there is no option of 'out of office assistant' there.0 -

Thanks - that tells me the same - but there is no option under 'tools'
Anyone know why that could be?0 -
I don't think you can set it up unless you are on a work network with an exchange server.

Where are you trying to set it up from? Are you in your email inbox?0

Heatherw_01 is right, I can set it up at work as I am hooked up to our Exchange server, but I don't have the option at home as it is set up for POP mail. And I am running Outlook 2003 on both PCs, it depends on which options you select upon installation and what facilities you have (i.e. network mail server) or not.0

As everyone else has said, you can only do this if you are on a corporate network with an Exchange (or similar workgroup) server.
If you want to do this whilst you are on holiday from home - many ISPs offer the facility, log into their website/portal or webmail and see if there is an option.
However, I'd advise against this for a home user, it advertises to anyone who e-mails you (including spam) that you are away. Advert for burglars.0 -
