    Congratulations!!

Just read Barnabee post again, because thats what it will happen to you! Was almost the same to me. Start thinking in some responses to those questions and explore them. Don't forget to bring the copies and the original documents as well. You will be fine!

I was rejected by ASDA today! No one is rejected by ASDA!!
Just give us news after that interview! (and don't be late!!)

    Regards

Edit: Just got an email from Royalmail: We are sorry to inform you that on this occasion your application has not been successful and we are unable to offer you the position.

    And there I go again..

i got the same then got an interview about 2 months later
RM are running tight on staffing just now but it will get busier soon

I am just preparing for my interview tomorrow. I applied for 2 jobs at the same time, I won't look daft if I ask them which post I am being interview for will I?

Also, just noticed this morning they are advertising a new post at my local office, whilst there tomorrow can I ask to be considered for that post too as it would save me a 30 mile round trip to work each day.

when i applied it was a general position in Edinburgh, however they always try to get you in the office nearest you TBH
i would definatly mention it to them
however be aware as a non walk holder you could be moved around offices as often as a daily basis

Well, got my interview yesterday, I have never been so prepared for answers thant to barnabee :) Now just got to wait and see. I was being interviewed for 1 specific post so have to reapply for the local one if I wanted to be considered for it. (I was interviewed by a manager from that specific department).

On the bright side............ I have just this morning been offered a sales job with a food company, start on Tuesday at 5am so my spell of unemployment is coming to an end, thank goodness!!!!!!!!!!!!

I received an email from RM today telling me "We are pleased to inform you that you passed your assessment, however on this occasion we are unable to offer you the position you applied for.

At present there are no further vacancies in your area. However, we would like to keep your name on our waiting list for future vacancies and we have your list of preferred offices"

I was confused as normally companies will thank you for attending interview etc.

Does this mean I will definetly be considered for any future vacancies or is it the RM version of "we'll keep your CV on file"?

hi all, i recently did an interview for royal mail. i just recieved an email like a few mins ago telling me that i passed my assessment however there isnt any vacancys atm.however they say they'll contact me where vacancies do come available or i can contact them if i see one. when the time comes will it mean i have to do the interview again

anyway im just so pleased that i passed it, there's nothing more that i want right now than to work as a postie and after the countless amount of rejections, its deffinately a good feeling even if i still havent quite got there yet
