Bought 4 packs of the chicken (borrowed a step daughter). Split the packs into 2 and then put in the freezer. I intend to use it for my little monkey for her tea. Will be very useful when I can't be bothered to cook for us....but still have to cook for her.

Love to my two angels that I will never forget.
  • I managed to get two of chicken, sausages and beefburgers this morning in our local store. We had the beefburgers for tea tonight and they were tasty enough for 50p, were a bit heavy but pleasant enough. had them with onions and eggs and enjoyed them.

My hubbie used the beefburgers tonight as mince and made a gorgeous spag bol sauce. Just cook as you would mince. 4 beefburgers fed 4 adults and two children and we all had seconds!:rotfl:

Just wish my local Morrisons was taking part! sob!

EVERY store is taking part, without exception.
  • My local Morrisons has an offer on Discovery Fajita spice mixes. I fried some of the chicken in the Coriander & Lime one and used it, and some salad, for filling tortillas. Very tasty!

Good tip above re the Spag Bol, wouldn't have thought of that!

Me and the other half managed to pick up 12 packets of chicken today between us.

Her cashier didn't bat an eyelid with her 8 packets but mine said only 2 allowed per customer.

I told him that there was loads on the shelf so he said just put them through as seperate transactions.

So if you want more then 2, try it, the worst they can do is refuse.
  • I bought sausages a couple of weeks ago as part of the 50p range. They had a big Red 50p on the front.
When I got home (20 mile round trip) I checked my reciept and had been charged the full price!

Check your reciepts before you leave the store:o

Wish they had a leaflet or something that you can take round the store,so that you can tick off the items when you put them in the trolly.
Went round today, only got past the bread department, got the sausages then went for the chicken(couldnt find it anywhere),then realized i couldnt rem what the items on offer where, kids where doing there flying acts round the store, stressing me out,and all im trying to do is whizz up the isles for the items.
just read a few threads and now i realise,it was burgers!,so ive ended up with just 2 packets of sausages!!!.
Going to have to try again with my own list.
These school holidays have a lot to answer for.

  • Avoid the 12 round white rolls for 50p. They are absolutely vile. I bought four packs for a barbecue. I was feeding 40 close friends and family, and these rolls were a disgrace. I bought them on the morning of the babrbecue and they had two days of shelf life left. They were all dry and crumbly. It was like trying to eat powdered cardboard. I wrote to Morrisons to complain, and got my money back plus £1 compensation. This too was a disgrace for ruining my barbecue. You get what you pay for! Pay the extra money and get proper bread rolls. Even better, support your local baker.
