Had a great day in the Lakes and enjoyed my brief trip to Lakeland. Just stopped myself from saying to OH 'SkintScotsLass also thinks I should just browse today and shop via Quidco' he would have thought I'd gone mad. He is not aware of my obsession with this site and this thread in particular (he lives in his own world!). Anyway best go pick him up from the pub now.

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: My BF thinks I'm mad anyway. I met up with another OS-er, Olliebeak when I was down in Liverpool. I'm chatting away to him (and his family!) about meeting Olliebeak. They all think I am mad. However, they were all really impressed with the stuff I got from the charity shops that she introduced me to ;)

    Morning all :hello:

Had a lie-in this morning and I'm going to make the most of my child-free time by going into town to Liverpool1 and having a good mooch around without DD hanging off me or the place being full like it is on a Saturday. I need to go and see if I can find some smart black pants that I like and maybe a top or two that isn't black for September :o I feel a diversion into Primark coming on as well :o I PROMISE it will mainly be window shopping then I'll get the hoover out when I get back and wash the dishes, maybe even tackle the dusting but we'll have to see ;)

Best go and get dressed....

Do you find the avon stuff works? I get bitten more if we are on holiday but get the worse reactions when bitten at home. Off to bed now on a wing and a prayer - OH never gets bitten in bed as I am his insect repellant:rotfl:

I'm ok with Avon's Skin So Soft in this country and my uncle and his mates swear by it when they go on their fishing trips. It always cracks me up thinking about these big hard men with their skin so soft in their bags :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: When we were in Corfu in May, I was driven demeted with the mozzies and bought local stuff. It vaguely helped, but as the hotel was situated next to a [STRIKE]nature reserve [/STRIKE]swamp, I think it was a losing battle :(

    Morning ladies

No lie in here as I had to have DS1 at cricket for 9:00

Washing drying quick - it is so hot here already. I've done 1 1/2 hours in the front garden tidying/watering etc - going to have first few runner beans of the season with tea tonight.

Going to make toast for the other two and then I'll join you JJ with a HHC in the kitchen before we go to the post office march.

After that need to go back to cricket - DS1 didn't take anything to eat so will be starving and I'll watch for the last hour before I bring him home.

I'll see how I feel after that, might do DS3 room as it is the last kids room to do and it is Friday.

Boddy hugs to you and your family on this sad day

We went to Liverpool1 on sunday, two weeks ago. I was surprised at how quiet it was compared to saturdays.

Oh good on you Dusty!! We dont have mossies, just midgies. I always thought mossies were abroad until I started going to Liverpool and got bitten there!! Which SSS do you use? Is it the greenyblue one? I've also got the pink one. Not mad keen on the smell, but it keeps the beasties away. Oh, and when I was walking the dog last night, we went off the main path and I ended up getting my ankles stung by nettles and scratches by goodness knows what! That'll teach me

This is my pet hate. At least you have the excuse of 10 people in your household. I only have 2.5 and I've got 3 jars of blooming jam opened
