Emptied the DW and started on the floordrobe clearance in my room. Found some literacy work A did at Christmas last year, one of the sheets was writing a letter (by filling the gap) to Father Christmas... Dear Father Christmas I would like my dad please send it to A because I have been a good girl love from A xx

    Afternoon fellow flyers

AnW'sMum that has brought a tear to my eye, hope you are ok

pigpen - impressive leadership there with the flying.

I've done my dalies and been through DS1's room. Loads of stuff has come out of there mainly really well worn clothes to go in the charity bin (they do rag old stuff don't they?) and some bits for the other too.

Found some stocking fillers which he has never openned - puzzle game things so note to self for next year not to feel the need to get bits and pieces but the useful stuff - socks and pens etc he moaned about - difficult age to buy for.

Popping to Morrisons and Lidl in a minute then going to do DS2 clothes next - he is already wearing a cricket top handed down this morning.

Hi Everyone. Hope you all had a really good weekend....will catch up fully with the thread later. Welcome to all the new flyladies; its good to have you on board :D For everyone going away.....have a safe trip and enjoy a well deserved break!!! This morning I have cleaned all the floors and all the washing is done and pegged out. Will finish the kitchen later. DD and DS had a busy day with Granny yesterday, so they have had a quiet morning watching tv. Wondered if I could ask for a bit of advice? DD starts school in September and I have been given the uniform list. The uniform shop is close by and I want to get it sorted now, so there is no big rush in September to get it all. Do I buy all the uniform from the shop or just get all the bits with the school badge, and buy everything else from the bigger stores like M&S and Tesco? Not really sure how to do it. Any advice greatly appreciated :D

There is also an update on my new car!!! It is now in the UK at last!!!:j :D :j :D (along with a boot full of wine from its time in France, as requested by Mrs V!!! ;) ) I still won't be able to have it until the weekend but at least it is still not travelling Europe!

Hope you all have a good afternoon. Happy flying! :D x

Finally managed to get both boys to nap at the same time :j , so i collapse in a heap on the computer chair. :D

Actually, i have done a bit better at the flying than normal, so i am not feeling bad. The kettle is just boiling if anyone wants one, and i guess i had better start peeling some of the veggies for tonights dinner. :A

everyone seems to be doing well today :T - must be that school hols feeling all round. My school isn't opening for the kids till the 15th of September - bet some of our parents are relishing the thought of 8 weeks of the kids at home. I'm glad i am not there in September to pick up those pieces, as that will be 2 weeks late, but i heard a rumour it might actually be 4 weeks late starting. The kids won't know where they are.

mudbath sorry ds started his hols like that - hope it is a 24 hour thing, and hope your dad gets sorted

anw's mum sounds like you had a nasty surprise there - i'd be another one bawling if it was me. Hope you enjoy your hols -i am another one trying to work out what clothes i have to go away. I know there is a big suitcase of my stuff under our bed, and i can't be faffed to pull it out and look, but i best if i plan on ever being ready.

Right, onwards. Will pop in again tonight.

    Michelle, x
