  • Good Morning!

I'm in again this week :) Had a hectic weekend with work and birthday celebrations (when I finally worked out what day it was) so the house needs a bit more attention. OH and I have also decided to move everything around in the bedroom today (inspired by DS1 who just reorganised his... sort of... he started and we turned it into something more convenient, i.e. not having both beds against the door!)

Anyway, here's the rest of it. I'll catch up on the thread later...

Minging Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Level One
    Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces
    Level Two
    Sweep and mop floors
Sort & clean fridge bringing what needs using soon to the front, clean out any spills or grots in there!
Wipe dining table.. (clean table cloth if necessary)
    Level Three
Dust any extra furniture in dining area, checking for cobwebs on way round
Wipe and replace all those small appliances.. kettle, toaster etc
Wipe all the windows in these areas!!
Clean cupboard door fronts and fronts of appliances .. don't forget those kick boards..
Check those washing machine filters and drawers for ickiness!! Tumble dryer, cooker hood and dishwasher filters need to be done too!!
    Extra Mission : help yourself
    • clean the hob..
    • Wipe down any tiles and shine those taps.. a toothbrush is great for cleaning away the gunk!
    • 29 fling boogie.. GO!
    • Empty the bin.. wash it out.. and make it smell SWEET

    Morning all :hello:

Off out today to see the Tall Ships - just going to nip to the shop to get some drinks so it can be a completely disposable lunch ;) Laters

Ragz - when are you getting married?

Mudbath - I'd send DD to Brownie camp - I'm sure she'll be fine - hope your dad's ok.

DD has now decided she wants a bath so I'll put some clothes away upstairs and hoover the landing and stairs I think.

If I post the picture then I have to do something about it right? I dont mind putting the DR on here to shame myself into getting on with it but the boys I will put on Facebook.

The ironing pile and ironing press were me last night - the rest of it isn't mine! The bare brick on the wall is the original fireplace, and next to it half of the arch for the original bakers oven - sadly the rest has been destroyed. Eventually it will be an open fireplace through into the kitchen - but we have to spend £3k moving the boiler first.

    Same room, different angle:

I think I will make a start on this and take them to one of the local soft play places after lunch. First though I have to move ten sheets of plaster board upstairs....... And drink some more tea. and get dressed :o

Nicki -enjoy your day out, I would love to see the tall boats
Mudbath - hope your dad is ok

    Hi,

Been reading your last weeks thread and I'm joining in this week - got to get on top of the house. The children seem to think that tidy up means shove it all beneath their beds. I'll let the DDs off as they're only 4, but DS is 8 and should know better. DH says boys will be boys, but at this rate he'll have mice.

Is it best to post what you hope / plan to do and then cross off what you've actually done?

JulieJim I'm getting married september 13th, as cheaply as possible!

DS1 (just turned 2) helped me scrub the kitchen cupboards, I thank Macca Pakka's good influence!

Mudbath I would say she is probably safer being at Brownies as she is at least away from the bug then. Hope she is alright at brownies.

Hello Keld. A lot of us the list that is posted on the first page. Then just cross ofor delete as we do it. Gives you an idea of what could be done. You only need to do what you can/want to. Some of us then add things that may need to be down i.e. get prescription or get DD/DS to tidy under their bed etc;)
