Bumping up for Confuzzled
And just a thank you for the support and help on cleaning up your credit report. The last one's finally shown as 'settled' and checking my credit score (with 1 eye shut) shows it smack in the middle of 'good'! Eh? Not that I'm refusing it!
Many thank for the guide Fermi. It's easy to do and I recommend it. A few recorded delivery letters and a month and it's cleaned up.

Good Morning , Please could anyone advise on my query , I am trying to clean my husbands credit file up post bankruptcy and there are a few CCJS still showing as active , these were included in bankruptcy .
Are we able to get these updated to settled the same way we would with other creditors ? as at the moment they are all still saying active , would we just write to the court where the CCJ was issued ?
Kind regards
CCJs work differently. A bankruptcy doesn't automatically mean the courts can mark them as settled.
Sometimes they will if the credit is willing to agree to it, but most of the time it's going to be a waste of effort.
With the BR order there and on your file longer regardless, it doesn't make much difference anyway.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Yes. Take that out of the letter if you think you need to.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Finally got my Experian 30-day trial up and running , have to say I am VERY impressed with the format of the online info, way way better than the old fashioned paper reports !!! I know I was taking a risk delaying it so long but I was very pleased to see apart from my 2 bank accounts post-BR and the BR itself, I have ZERO entries for anything else :j:j:j Gone are all those long entries with statuses of every number from 0-99 and various Letters lol:D
I even found out that I was discharged early !!! 2 months after my BR, not that it makes any difference .... or does it ? Am I right in thinking that 6 years from the BR date, plus a few weeks I guess, my BR entries will vanish as well ???
For anyone putting off doing a clean-up, jump in there as soon as you can, I took a risk leaving it 3-4 years since BR, and I can fully understand why you might have just wanted to forget all about it, but I am now glad I plucked up the courage to take a look0 -
Finally got my EQUIFAX 30-day trial up and running, they have a P I T A online system for submitting scanned documents  but once I got the sizes small enough they finally let me in. Glad to see that the info matches Experian as good as 100% , Experian has more info included.
Sending off my £2 for my CallCredit file as I can't get their online system to work !0 -
Have finally got all of my files cleaned up, all default dates now correct and all showing as settled or satisfied. Thanks to everyone who helped me achieve this.:pB&SC No. 298

I sent some letter off back in early july, as i still had 3 defaults, just got the 30 day fre trial...would rather have paid £2 as i might forget to cancel at the end but couldnt see an option...anyway, only one default now showing, but think maybe i will have to give them another month to update...is this correct, if it doesnt change whats my next option, its with the bank of ireland.
