Thankyou gtothec, mickandjack, skibster, mummysavingofone, newcook, jellybaby and geordielass for your kind words and support, it means a lot to me. I spoke to customer services about it and they put me on to a senior advisor who got in touch with the store and told me that the team leader in the store has spoken to the sa and said all they could do was apoloigse

I'm glad to say that SA's like that are in the minority, most of the ones I've come across are usually very helpful.

Yup I agree and also must point out that working in customer service is often a thankless task and for every nice customer you get, there are many horrendous ones. So for any nice SA'a out there, I for one, appreciate the job you do. :T
I'm sort of off topic again! sorry to those of you reading the email update.

Can people post how any expert products they think is right, that won't be too much to get caught but still be able to get a decent amount off the total? Thanks :D

    x

I have had around 8 items three times with a single voucher but never managed to get the dry skin oil so always paid something - average 50p per item. Have only done it with big basket i.e. going for baby triple points and the ACM bonus 250 points wys £30.

Twice was on my card, once on DH's and you get sent baby expert vouchers at least twice in the various booklets. I don't think I would do it again even with one voucher and was never comfortable at using both vouchers even at SS till. With all this talk of people losing their points I am only using my card to spend rather than collect at the moment. I must say though that I've not come across any nasty SAs lately. DS bats his little eyelashes at them and they're hypnotised!!!!

It is worth noting though if you still want to do the expert glitch, modestly mind, that if you are getting any of the stuff that is 1.99 each and SA says anything about stuff already being on offer you can confidently argue that you want the deal on the voucher instead of the 2 for £3 offer because the voucher deal works out cheaper i.e. 99p each instead of £1.50. I think they're unlikely to refuse to scan voucher when met with this argument and hey presto the till rings it all up at less than 2 4 £3 and SA is unlikely to unpick the mess item by item!! :D

hi thanks for all the posts earlier, just managed to get back from boots. Spoke to the nice pharmacy lady who recommended flexitol heel balm, its rather greasy but anything is worth a shot, she did say if by friday its no better see your doctor. So here goes............

Hotpot4, hope your all ok after your accident this morning, insurance company's never seem to be in a hurry these days do they.

Dotchas - hope your op has gone well today, its really nice weather so i bet you cant wait to get home and recover in your own space.

Moneysaver 12, I was a sales assistant and then after promotion made to manager. I didnt work for boots but we would never be rude or allow anyone to be rude to customers. Her attitude stinks, TBH we regular bootsers shd all have a day trip down there and buy all our goodies and pay with loads of vouchers. She would be possibly bald after we had left at the end of the day!!!!! :p
Please dont let her put you off, you have nothing to be ashamed of. Hold your head high next time you go in and if she is rude again (heaven forbid) insist on the manager or assistant manager attending the shop floor to sort out the problem. My store is small but lovely, there is 1 slightly dodgy SA but i use the photo counter to avoid her:rotfl:

Hope youve all had a great day bootsing..:D :D

  • Yesterday Brent Cross (which is usually very carp for clearance) did have at least 3 botanics face renewal creams reduced to £1.75. I didn't get them as I didn't want the cream and thought 1.75 was still a lot for wipes but someone else who wants to get the wipes for less or points might be interested.

Would also like to remind people looking for cheap wipes that the ACM coupon for BOGOHP on Expert Sensitive range works in conjunction with the Expert Sensitive wipes on BOGOF so you pay £1.49 for two packs of wipes.

    GLITCH?

Also noticed that Urban Retreat body range was on 342 which I understand also gets the bonus points 1000 wyb 3 items. Cheapest item is some cooling leg gel stuff for £5 so if I'm correct you could get three of these for £10 with 1000 points back?! They're out of stock on .com but all other urban retreat body stuff on there showing up as qualifying for the 1000pts even though not specifically from the skincare category. And there's no mention of the 342 deal online but pink stickers in store were definitely current - all urban retreat body on 342 til 12 Aug so if 1000pts are being given with 3 urban retreat body items then we have ourselves a nice cash v points back equation:j

Sadly I don't think the urban retreat body stuff is available in many places. Whether it's any good is another matter!!!!

Moneysaver12, well done for not letting that SA get the better of you, and contacting CS to complain. I hope the SA thinks twice before treating anyone like that again. Its nice that you got an apology from CS but IMO I really think they should have given you some points for the totally uncalled for/rude treatment you got from the SA. Just my thoughts.

Do the Huggies starter packs always scan £2.50 even if the SEL says £5?

I'd love to grab some of these for my son and his gf who are expecting my first grandchild, but as it's a small store I've spotted them in, I don't want to go to the counter and ask the price 'cos the SA can be a bit offish sometimes and will probably say shelf should be priced and won't scan to check for me.
