Her attitude stinks, TBH we regular bootsers shd all have a day trip down there and buy all our goodies and pay with loads of vouchers. She would be possibly bald after we had left at the end of the day!!!!! :p

I'd be up for that ;)

moneysaver12, if I were you I would put a complaint in writing and send it to Boots head office. Letters seem to get much better responses than phone calls. Say that thanks to this assistant you are now afraid of shopping in Boots stores or exercising your right to return things or use legitimate vouchers. And ask them to put it in writing to you that you are fully entitled to do so and to expect friendly and respectful service when you do. Then make a point of buying things you don't want, and returning them to that cow's till. If she so much as tuts, whip out your letter from Boots and smile smugly

Are you 100% certain it said the word KEEP? maybe it was referring to your debit card and said SWIPE?

Oh - can anyone recommend a really GOOD handcream that stops your hands drying out, must be sold in Boots of course! I got some of the Boots aromatherapy handcream reduced to 50p, so bought the lot, as also on 3 for 2.
I started using Johnson's baby cream as a hand cream when there was an extra points offer on it in Tesco. It's good, sinks in fast, has a very neutral smell and is less expensive than most purpose-made hand creams.

Otherwise the Body Shop Hemp hand cream is good too, but it doesn't come with Boots points :(

Also got 4 more mitchum 150ml at 53p and used 2 £1 off

Good shop, as usual, hotpot4 :)

Quick question...are you putting through say 2 mitchum and 1 coupon at a time leaving 6p to pay...

Or is the till letting you put them all through in one trransaction, say...10 mitchum and 5 coupons at a time leaving 30p to pay?

Just wondering if the till was allowing more than 1 of the mitchums at a time

    Also wondering if you did say 10 mitchums at 53p and 10 vouchers for instance, would the till do... 10 x 53p - 10 x £10 = -£5.53

    Hmmm

Went in to my usual store today -no sign of the no 7 BOGOF so asked the SA ' I am new' she says ' I don't know '.so picked up facial anti brown spot stuff and some anti aging sun cream and the GWP. Also had Ted Baker cosmetic purse and a reduced time delay serum for 2.88. 500 point off suncare scanned ok but 500 point ACM would not -said I already had used this coupon????.Then 200 point time delay beeped.By this time SA was very confused and flustered-was her first day on her own. I paid 15.50 and left the counter. Then realised total was wrong- should be 20.18 i think.Looked at receipt and she had not scanned the serum-hence the voucher beeping! Went back to pay ( luckily had not got as far as the security barrier!)and on my way out realised that she had scanned the facial tan stuff twice(10.50) rather than one of those and one of the other stuff (which was 12.00) Could this be why my ACM voucher would not work?
By this time I was running late and really did not want the hassle of refunding all of it so I just made a quick exit!

If it was me, I'd just give their customer services a call and just say that the assistant saw it too but gave it you back and said it was fine, but you're wondering what it was about and are worried in case there is some problem with your card, just make out that you're worried it's been wrongly marked up as lost or something on the system.

I'd be too scared to try using it now
