Would everyone please join me in giving a toast to our friend Lynne and to wish her all the best in her new job

    What great news.

Well as for me I hurt my shoulder in the gym last night and Im so upset as its thrown me out of my routine but Im hoping if I go for a long walk to day and rest it it will be ok for tomorrow.

I have been having a crap time with the Oh and to be honest I think its over. So I am throwing myself into the fitness/lose weight thing. Because I moved home to sort out my finances it caused so many problems between us. But at the end of the day isint it better that I want to get my finances sorted before I get married rather than go into it in a whole world of debt.

He is kinda well off and I dont want to feel obligated to him. That makes sense in my own head

Anyway well done everyone you are realy helping me stay focused.

Although I had a two mini kitkats before bed last night, but that way my firs chocolate in 4 days:mad:

Lilmiss the reason you have had a maintain honey is not because you have no lost weight. Its because of al the exercise you are doing. The flab is toning and becoming muscle and muscle is heavier than fat. Although on the scales it may say you gain weight or stay the same. The fact is you are turning into muscle.

So please do not be disheartned honey, this is a good thing. All the walking and dancing is turning the soft bits into nice toned bits

    So well done you:beer:

I actually know what Im talking about I was a gymnastic coach for 12 years.

Icka. I think i would go along with you. I would not want to go into marriage with a debt. Not really for me to pry, but if you are planning to marry and he loves you and he is "well off" is he not prepared to help you and of course pay him back, i would have thought he would want to help you ? sorry if i am reading this all wrong ?

  • Oh icka, I'm sorry to hear that! I know money can be a big strain on relationships, esp when you both have different attitudes to it, and amounts of it! you just focus on yourself and if he is right one for you he will understand and be there for you when you're more sorted. horribble about your shoulder too, i hope it's better very soon!

LilMiss, don't give up, you are doing so well!! I agree with Icka, try to measure yourself and I bet you'll see a difference in inches!

BargainFinder, thank you so so much, you are very understanding and sensible! I'm looking at Martin's articles and am really going to blitz my finances to be more in control!

Way to go Jo, I am like that too, never use anything right up before I buy more, then I moved house and found everything i had forgotton about! I am going to be your copycat now and be a scroogeaholic too!

    xx

    Thanks Jo and Icka,

That's really nice of you, I might even take the two of you in as lodgers and take you up on your kind offer.:rotfl:

I just need to see what sort of package he is offering, but I think it will be fair enough, he is a good guy and knows that i'll be looking for something decent.

Told DH last night, he was like oh, you'll be going full circle if you do that, are you okay with that?  He was the one that was pushing for me to get a job, so I said, nothing is good enough for you is it, I've been offered a good job and that's your response!! He was like, oh sorry, I just thought you wouldn't go back to that type of work. Beggars can't be choosers as far as I'm concerned, and I don't need to go through interviews and stuff cause he knows me, so that's a bonus!!!

crazychatter I am so sorry i have not had time to chat with you. Its difficult when i am doing my nights. I "was" such a waster. included money, food, cosmetics and clothes. But i am now finding myself loathed to spend anything, I am looking for things for nothing now. I have loads of sites in my favorites, Like "how to make household cleaner out of store cupboard stuff" and all sites like that LOL
