  • Hi crazy, well done to you about the chocolate! I second the thanks to Jo, this is the first thread I have really got involved with, and it does help.. I was just thinking about eating the rest of the chocolates that are still here at work, but then I thought how demotivating it would be for everyone else, so I stopped! Yay! I'm in Birmingham, so not v close to Bristol I'm afraid!

Well its just turned lunch time and my work canteen has opened up... I've jsut had the best vegetable paella with some extra veggies added into the box, a bottle of Coke Zero and an Activa Yoghurt..

All for the bargain price of

  • Well done Kmac:j. I have just had two slices of toast with Nutella, as that is what I keep in the cupboard at work.. so I'm saving money! When it's all gone, I'll replace it with something more lo-cal, might try bringing in soup for a few weeks... I have had to stop bringing money into work with me as I work in the City Centre, so it's a nightmare on lunch breaks 'oh I'll just pop into Primark' or ooooh, baguette du mond, prett, mcDs....arrgh so many places to spend and eat spend and eat!

  • I know what you mean BF, I think I'm going to stop bringing my purse to work too, we have a big canteen, a sandwich shop and a bar onsite at my work, it is too easy to ignore my packed lunch and buy something naughty! being good friends with the barman is bad too as I am drinking far too much after work! But not anymore!! new determined and healthy me from today!

Kmac,Well done, and that is so cheap, the coke and yoghurt would have cost £1.70 alone in my canteen!

I've got pate, cucumber and wholemeal bread with me for lunch but I'm only going to have three slices of bread instead of my usual four, it's baby steps as Jo says!

    Hi guys,

there have been so many posts since my last one on Friday (I think). Hello to all the new comers.

Yes everyone seems really positive...well I think I done well yesterday - for the first time in a long time I actually had more veg than anything else on my plate.

YAY, I've lost a pound - so I'm really happy about that.

I'm going away until Friday to Worthing so I don't think I'll get a chance to post anything until then or Sat. As I'll be near the coast I am looking forward to fish and chips but I'm hoping to do a lot of walking as well to kind of balance it out. i hope I don't put that pound on but I'm not going to stress if I do.

  •  ... I recently found holes in one of my tops, and figured it was moths, but that a good vac and clean would sort it out, but today I went on the internet and I've researched it and found that getting rid of moths is a nightmare, and to clean the larve out of 'infected' clothes you have to dry clean them or wash them at a temperature above 120degrees....
So tonight I have to go home and completely clear out all our stacks of clothes, vaccume and scrub and chuck out loads of my clothes, because I cant afford to dry clean them... I know what I have to do but I am gutted, as I cannot afford to dry clean everything, neither can I afford to have holes in all my clothes :( arrrgh, what a day!!!

Ahhh BF, that would give me the willies - I'd want to chuck everything out as well under those circumstances.
  • Thanks, but I am sure - as it's only a few things, with no consistency, and one thing I pulled out of 'storage' (fat clothes storage lol) and it hadn't been washed since I put it in there; and had holes in it :( And I've seen them flutter about at night in the dim lamp light.... nasty beggars......

Check your machine, it might be that an underwire has come out of a bra, this happened to my mum's machine and they had holes in loads of their stuff. Have a look before you chuck everything out.
