Hiya girls, howza all, well and on a roll i hope ? Must say i am on a roll at the moment. Eating and exercising well. Emmylou, keep it up with the stairs or even alternate between stairs and lift, hark who's talking (she who has to force herself to move) but doing well at the moment. Sadly I did not swim BUT DH was lifting our patio (well actually its concrete paving slabs) as we are putting down grass, so helped him do that. It would have been easier to swim, so I did do some exercise, i dint just sit around. My friend and I (god don't i sound soooo posh) are going walking to day, we have packed lunch and everything, we are going up to gibside.
Have a good day all.
Lynn and kmac, let me know how you both doing, Emmy don't go back to the lift as often

Hey guys,
Lilmiss hows the walking going? You still trying to resist the lift?
Skint Lynne well done on the job!!!!!! :j:jHow did your first week go?
Blue im so glad your computer is working again, how have you been? Glad you and OH are tackling everything together now, well done for staying strong!
Hi to the newbies too, Blue started this thread a few months back and there was so much support, looks like we are all getting back to that too which is ace. :T
Well, i decided after christmas to hit the diet again, although ive come a long way im a bit obsessed with beign able to hit what the "government" calls "normal" so i have been doing weight watchers and i find it so easy. Not going to club or anything but i have the books and my two house mates are doing it too.
Ive managed to shift another 9lb's and everyone has started noticing but still got a long way to go - what with all of the personal stuff going on (the ex H turned into a nightmare and ive ended up having to go BR but now i can actually sleep at night so im sure its a good thing in the end) the diet has taken a back seat, but now im going to hit it with avengence.:o
Has anyone got any tips on choosing a gym? Im thinking that i really want to start swimming again but without anyone to go with im worried about motivation - does anyone go to the gym or swimming regularaly that can give me some tips?
Puzzled xx0 -
Hey everyone
Isnt it great to be back on the forums, i did miss them over the weekend, did anyone else?
As part of my attempt to try an cut down a wee bit on our weekly shop i went to Aldis first (only been in a coupl eof times) and bought mainly cleaning products and then went onto Tesco to get the rest of our shop. In total i dont think there was a huge difference in going to the 2 shops. i have always shopped at Tesco and perhaps what i need to do there in the future is look at the brand below what i normally buy. I dont think i could keep up the shopping in 2 separate shops, i like it to be done in a oner. We have started making our own bread last weekend and i think that we will notice a big difference in how much we previously spent on bread, the only thing is its sooo tempting to cut off a huge slice when its nice and fresh and smother it in butter!
Tomorrow im going to open up an ISA account, although we are at least 15/20 years away from retirement we started chatting this weekend about seriously starting saving for the future, something we have never done before
In terms of losing weight and exercise, i did go back to WW last week but havent plucked up the courage to look at my weight!! i know that when i do, i will be so disappointed i will just wait til i go on wed and hopefully i will have lost a wee bit. I have been off work for the last few months with back pain, and although it hasnt got much better i went back to work last week. Ive also started walking a wee but more too this week but am paying for it today, my back pain does get me dowm as despite having been to physi, chiropracotor etc there really doesnt appear to be any improvement
Will go for now, my quick reply turned into a bit of a ramble

Evening all,
Well, I've been quite busy with this job. A lot of travelling is involved. Don't worry Jo, I'll let you know in advance when I am back down your way.;)
I got a fright when I weighed myself this morning so am defo going to cut out the rubbish. I've had a good day, so we will see what tomorrow brings.
Nice to see you back puzzled and I'm glad that you are sounding so positive. Going BK seems to have worked out for you, so you have done the right thing.;)
Welcome on mackeroo, I think that everyone is drifting back to this thread, it used to be quite busy, I'm sure that it will pick back up.
I'm off for a bath, so will speak later. xx0
