Emmylou - way to go girl 20 miles wooooo hooooo i have to push myself to walk 1 mile to work. WELL DONE

Lynne - fab to hear from you, ive missed you all. As for Bikini's, ive never worn one for 30+ years. I do admire larger ladies who have the confidance to wear one, but i could not put all my flab on show.

Well my finances have improved since last we spoke. Allthough i still have a way to go. My husband knows now, which is a big help as i can say, no we cant afford it or similar. Instead of just going ahead with buys and robbing peter to pay paul to buy it. Finances changed when i decided to change banks. I had gone to my bank for help, not as in a loan but more for advice, they were very unhelpfull, that being barclays. i left feeling like a told off child. So i decided to cross the road and go into LTSB. Well they were just marvelous. Made me and appointment to see a money advisor. Can you beleive this. I opened up an account with them and within i week gave me a £100 overdraught, this was just for 3 month. it was to stop me, having to not pay one bill to pay the other. This is the best bit. They found us £4500, wooo hooo. They asked if either hubby or myself had any private pensions, hubby said he had two small ones, from when he was self employed 12 yr ago but they were very small and didnt think they were worth vey much. Well they checked in to it and they were worth £5,000. They advised hubby that it would do us mote good to cash them in now and get us out of out financial situation, than leave them. We did this and this went a long way to sorting out our finances. We are still not clear and have a way to go, but i can noe get from month to month with a tiny bit left, which is a huge step forward as i never had any money left well before payday. Along with my current account came a savings account, with I just put little bits in but at least i having now ( just a tiny bit). they also advised me to do online banking, which i love, as i can access my bank account form home any see exactly were i am on a daily basis. Also I opened a esaver bank account which you cna only do if you do online banking, every time i usr my debit card, say it is was £10.47, they round it up to £11 and put the 53p in my esaver account.

So things looking up a bit.

Just a quickie and then I'm off to bed. Not a good day for eating, but it was good all the same, just ate too much.:p

I've not a lot of time now that I've got 2 jobs, but I'm glad I've got them all the same. DH comes home on Thursday, so will need to get the housework done tomorrow, and go shopping. Fortunately, I have saved up some stamps so that I am not struggling and I have some stuff in the freezer.

Emmylou, tell me more about your walking. What motivates you ? I live sort of townsh countryish and there are lots of places to walk. Do you walk pavement, footpaths with baby emmylou or do you walk alone ? Does it greatly help your weightloss ? Keep it up I am well impressed. :T

Hiya Lynne, Ive missed out on such a lot. Update me on your work scedule please. Up until about 10 month ago I work more than 1 job, its not easy is it. Fab DH coming home this week :j, how long is it since you saw him last. At xmas, I got a money jar as a present, its counts your money and displays it on the lid as you deposit, so that you know how much you have saved. Trouble is its a screw top and I have been in it twice, then had to reset it.   Well done on the saving stamps. I start off well, then it dwindles off, more:mad: . Have a fab time with DH

i walk because if i didnt im sure id be piling the weight on because my diet has gone to pot! I walk on my own with my ipod on. I figure it takes me 40 mins to walk in or back from uni and if i get a lift by the time we all get into the car and past the traffic in the city etc, it takes like 25 mins anyway, so i may as well just walk :)

Lynne - good good having the money balance working well :)

Jo - that jar sounds fab! I'd love one that told me how much i was saving :D

    Hey ladies

Sorry for my absence recently, things have been getting from bad to worse up here.

My dad took quite unwell and in the process took a breakdown, got very angry and my poor littel sister was in the house when it happened, i'm 300 miles away and needless to say I got into the car and went home.

So that started my 3 weeks of nonsense spending and I know I shouldnt have done it.... but thats in the past and I'm back here.

You might have seen my " I need a kick up my butt " post.

Anyway just popped in to say hi and hope we get this back up and running because it was such a great wee thread! xxx
    :heart2: Its 12 o'clock and I need your attention :heart2:

    Hi girls,

Kmac, I'm sorry about your dad, hope things are getting better at home. It will be a worry for you living far away from him and your sister. Things will get better for you. It's a pity we have to wade through some s**t from time to time.

DH is back, so I made chilli in my slow and had that for dinner. 5 portions for the freezer now. I'm working from home tomorrow so will get all of my paperwork squared up - will just need to take away from the fridge.:D

    Speak later. xx
