  • ok been away and so cant sit and read pages of missed posts right now so well done to the loosers, welcome to the new folk and lets get to it for those of us needing a kick up the bum!

Am back in the pool now after our weekend away. Did eat quite a few naughties this weekend but ah well, back to the healthy eating again this week. Start uni on monday so would like a good loss between now and then to have me back feeling good :) Got my DVD player from mums as OH still hasnt brought ours down stairs, so i at least now have mine and will be back to doing Davina this week!! Davina and walking to the park with madam along with healthy eating means a few lbs off i hope lol.

I have had a wonderful day:mad: . I woke up with a rash thing on my face, neck and arms. My mum reckons it is a heat rash. I then went to the shop and a customer asked me if a bracelet they bought abroad was gold. I dropped the solution stuff all over my trousers and burnt the leg off myself. It is throbbing just now. I'm going to have a bath and go to bed early. tomorrow is another day, thank god this one is nearly over. There was a wee bit of a silver lining, I have another interview next Monday, 8th September, surely I will get one of these jobs!! I certainly hope so, I'm fed up filling applications out!!

    SL x
  • ouch Lynne thats no good :( Hope your leg feels better soon. Yeay for another interview! Your flying! Application form filling is sooooo dull! so I hope you get a job offer from one of these interviews soon :)

up nice and early today blergh, have such a sore back from yesterdays airport shenanigans between the 2 bags and having to lift madam up and down stairs. Hoping OH will get up out of bed to watch her for a while so i can go back to bed soon lol. Hows everyone elses morning going?

KMac - don't know if I've already missed you, but if not - have a great time in Egypt! th_vacationsmilie.gif

Puzzled - nice to "see" you. I don't know about tips from me - I think its a lot more luck than judgement!! :p

Sorry to hear about the rash and your leg SL - hope today is a better one for you... action-smiley-024.gif

My weekend was terrible food-wise, and I didn't quite manage to get back on track yesterday (I made better choices, but still ate far bigger portions than necessary, with a few snacks thrown in for good measure! :o).

Back on the wagon today. Bit annoyed as its chucking it down here in London charrain.gif, so I took the bus to work rather than walking (am at 2nd job all this week, so was hoping to walk there and back each day running.gif) which cost me money as well as missing exercise. But on the plus side, my Starbucks-buddy (who I would have seen twice this week) has called in sick. (Just re-read that and it sounds terrible  - I don't want her to be sick, but it does mean I don't have to have two doses of Starbucks this week now - you know what I mean!!:rotfl:).

Anyway, I had a healthy yoghurt for breakfast, and brought last night's leftovers in with me for lunch + 1 snack, and dinner tonight is all planned...so hopefully this is the start of being back in control for me. crossfingers.gif

Hope you're all having a good day (and you've got slightly better weather than here!! rolleyes.gif).

  • Hey all :hello: , as I said before I am starting in slimming world on thursday, and trying to lose a bit of weight before I go (figure that out, its like washing your hair beofre you go to the hairdressers! :rotfl: )
Yesterday I did good; breakfast-cereal, lunch-veg soup and tea-roast chicken and baked potato, plus a couple of low fat digestives. Any day now gonna start craving chocolate, anyone got any good alternatives for my sweet tooth??!!
Its ace being able to chat with people about my diet, the OH is interested to a point bless him :heartpuls but having always been a slim jim doesnt really understand how hard it is - 'just eat less'!! True of course but if only it was actually as simple as that haha!

    Hi MunchkinKel :hello:

Just wanted to say good luck for Thursday - sounds like you're "in the zone" at the moment! :T

Re: sweet things, how about meringue nests, or Pink'n'Whites (the marshmallow between 2 wafers - very cheap, too, so good for not overspending! ;)), or sugar-free jelly. Not chocolate, I know, but all very sweet.

Sometimes, I find that a drink will suffice to help with a craving for sweet stuff - a large glass of Diet Coke or Asda's own sugar-free limeade (the one aimed at kids - I think they are about 40p for 2 litres, but I buy 4 bottles at a time for £1.50! :p). Or Options chocolate drinks...I don't like all the "flavoured" ones but the ordinary chocolate one is quite nice - particularly if you make it up with a dash of skimmed milk instead of all water - and the white chocolate one is quite nice for a change (and hits that "sweet" mark, as well!).

    HTH :D

  • Grrr, I'v put on 2lb, I don't know why I'm surprised after my pig out this weekend! I had 28 sins instead of 15 yesterday, somehow I completely forgot about my plan when I met a friend for lunch yesterday! I just ordered a bagette through habit! silly! but I'm going sticking to it..

I can't wait for you to start SW Munkinkel, then we can lament our sins together! lol! Sugar free jelly is great! The slimming world choc cereal bars are lovely too but bit expensive, best only for treats really. I found that a boiled sweet a day, usually just after lunch, really helped my sweet tooth, esp Werthers Original as they are so creamy and if you suck them, they'll last for ages!

Oo Lynne, that's horrible, you poor thing, I hope you're feeling better today?

Wanttobeasaver, four miles is brill!! I think I walked just over three today and arrived at work very sweaty! I had to take my teeshirt off and just wear my jumper! but it's one with a zip so I have to keep reminding myself not to unzip it too far! lol!

    I'm soldiering on today,

It's not that bad actually, but it has blistered and they keep on bursting, so feeling a bit soggy:p . I've not been very good food wise but I think that is allowed just now because of my state of illness (bad excuse I know). I am still the same weight, 11st 4lbs, so at least I'm not putting weight on.
  • At last. I have been trying to get on here all day. Tiscali told me problem with server exchange in sheffield but i wasnt convinced ???

  • Big apologies to all. I have not been very supportive, these last few weeks. Just seem to on a downer. nothing specific and nothing any worse, in fact things better than before I arrived on this site. Just done a big overhaul of my spending, cutting back and saving for September. Very dismal prospects. I am in tonight, so will be popping on and off to catch up. Plus been to a funeral today.
