Just explain that you can't make them underdstand and you would like to speak to someone based in the UK - trust me you won't offend - it's possible they may try to say they can help etc but be persistant.
It's nice to be nutty but's more important to be nice

That's it i have had enough. Got through to India, they refused to put me through to uk saying the uk has no call centres which is b******s as i spoke to them about a week ago! She then said she could help me (after getting my phone number wrong 5 times) and then said i have to phone back in 4 hours as their systems were down! tried the uk number for sales and they refused to help. i am absolutley fuming. Either i get through to the uk TODAY or I'm leaving orange for good. I'm disgusted.
Jaymarsh can you please ask your friend for a number where i can get through to the uk on payg?

I am in the same situation, bought 2 upgrade phones for my kids and had to buy £10 top up at the time. My daughters phone activated within 10 minutes and old credit and £10 top up added immediatley. My sons phone was still not working after 48 hrs so had to ring back and now 9 days later and having spoke to india 5 times including 2 supervisor and being on hold for 25mins then cut off he still has no credit. They today told me it takes 14 days (I have been told 48 hrs 1 hour and 3 hours previosly). They also old me the system was down today I asked if they could ring me back but they said they were not allowed pens to write the phone number down.

they have teams in UK but they do different things. The CS for you is in India. The way they operate is clever, they are quite capable of determining your value to them before you speak to someone and routing you to the correct team.

My advice is to move networks. They will only change their policy when enough customers leave because of it.

There are other networks whose strategy is to have good customer services. Three and Orange aren't so concerned with this.

They are so full of s***. India was meant to phone me back the other week so the thing about the pens is rubbish. What makes it completely 'hilarious' is the fact that you get that stupid automated message saying 'Orange is committed to excellent customer service'. Who's idea of 'excellent' exactly?

I would move networks but Orange gives me so much more for my money, I'd be paying almost double on the others.

Do any of the other networks only charge you 15p per minute to any phone, give you 300 texts every tenner you top up and give you free evening internet on payg? That's what I'm getting now so if anything else has an offer as good as that I'm moving as of today.

    Hi Pumpa,

Orange have a call centre in Plymouth for PAYG Customer Services.

The only was to get through to Plymouth is when India is busy the call routes through to Plymouth.

I'm going into the Orange Shop today i'll see if they have any alternative numbers for you and post here later on.

If its any help try going through 0800 079 7777 which is Orange Retentions - UK Based.

I posted this a few weeks back but I can't find the thread anywhere. I'm tearing my hair out here, all I want is to speak to a UK call centre! I must have spent about a pound being passed from person to person at the India centre because they can't understand what I am saying, and I need a problem sorting out. I've googled for hours, all I can find is the 079 number (which is just another version of 450) and that's it! Please help, someone must work for them or something!!

whenever i have had an issue with them i always ask to be put through to the uk - and its usually plymouth i speak to.

I have asked today and India wouldn't have it- they told me there was no such thing as a UK call centre even though I told them I was speaking to them last week.

Right i just phoned again, this is the last straw. Was told i'd have to phone back in the morning because their systems are still down. So, I'm contacting the ceo to demand a refund for all these 25p's that I have wasted, and I want an apology for all the lies I have been told. I am absolutely fuming.

EDIT- Have just emailed the CEO, watch this space!
