I posted this a few weeks back but I can't find the thread anywhere. I'm tearing my hair out here, all I want is to speak to a UK call centre! I must have spent about a pound being passed from person to person at the India centre because they can't understand what I am saying, and I need a problem sorting out. I've googled for hours, all I can find is the 079 number (which is just another version of 450) and that's it! Please help, someone must work for them or something!!

you're on PAYG, you have the power to switch network whenever you like and keep your number. Why not try a network with no indian call centres?

I switched to Orange from Virgin after being with Virgin for 5 years because Virgin sent their call centres to India, but mainly because Orange works out better value for me. Then I found out Orange used foreign centres but I want to stick with Orange because it has much better bonuses for me than Virgin does. All I want is a number for a UK call centre!

I don't think there is a way on Orange PAYG not to speak to India. If India is busy then perhaps the call will be re-directed to a UK operator, but even for contract customers Orange have been cutting UK customer services terribly over the last couple of years.
I know a large number of staff at Peterlee (around 200, as I recall) were made redundant last year.

Is there a time when I am more likely to get put through to uk? Getting a bit desperate now. I've been googling for aaaages :( There's no point in me phoning back, they just can't understand what I am saying, I spoke to 3 of them tonight no joy :(

Have you asked to be put through to England?
It's nice to be nutty but's more important to be nice

Ask for the Sales department and you'll get to speak to someone in England!! Or have you tried to email them?

They won't talk about my problem via email i have tried, and I could ask to speak to England but I don't want to come across as rude! I mean, they might ask why!
